Beliefs
The Word of God as taught and revealed by the Holy Ghost is the creed, discipline, rules of order and doctrine accepted by NPCC. (John 14:26; I Cor. 2:9-13)
“All scriptures are given by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works” (II Timothy 3:16-17).
We believe in the fundamental principles of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand. By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:1-3).
We believe in repentance, baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and being filled with the Holy Ghost with scriptural evidence of speaking in tongues:
“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance…. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” (Acts 2:4, 38).
We believe in living a sober, righteous, and holy life so that at the second coming of Christ we will be caught up with Him into the heavens:
• “Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world…. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord… Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ… I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” (Titus 2:13, Hebrews 12:14, Titus 12:13, Romans 12:1).
