If I could leave a zero I would. I called and told them what was wrong with my car. Wheel alignment needed, wear on my tires I just switched out, thought I was waiting for a control arm since I had to wait 3 weeks for an appt only for them to have my car for 2 hrs and tell me they can't fix it because they don't have the parts. I drove an hr into town with my 3 yr old as I'm a single mother who works full time from home and she said she was sorry I felt that way. I lost a full day's wage and wasted 100 dollars, to walk 2 miles with my son and leave with a broken car.
I went to North Nakusp Automotive as they are one of a couple shops that features a wheel alignment rack. I called and booked, and was quoted with a 1 hour repair and the price. After dropping the car off and running some other errands, I came back, and proceeded to wait an additional 2 hours before my vehicle was finished. Upon finally being ready to go, I went to the front desk, where I was met with a bill that was double the quoted time. They said the additional charges were due to difficulties the mechanic ran into during service, namely a seized bolt. I took this in stride, however when I pulled away in my newly aligned vehicle, it still had a hard drag to the right! I called North Nakusp Automotive once again, this time telling them of the persisting issue even after their supposed alignment. They told me it was either my tire tread or a further mechanical issue. I followed this by rotating my tires, then by getting an alignment from another shop in Kelowna. This second alignment did fix my issue, which unfortunately has proven to me that North Nakusp Automotive did not perform as they said they had on this service. I am disappointed.
North Nakusp Automotive is great. We had car problems on our road trip and they got us sorted out quickly and on our way again. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend them.
