North Central College (www.northcentralcollege.edu) is a renowned liberal arts college nestled in the Historic District of Naperville, a friendly suburb about 30 minutes outside Chicago.

Story

We are a private, comprehensive liberal arts college located west of Chicago in Naperville, Illinois. We offer undergraduate degrees in more than 55 study areas and graduate degrees in seven areas. Our 3,000-plus students (about 2,700 undergraduates) make the most of opportunities to study abroad, pursue internships and participate in musical groups, theatre productions, athletics and much more. For more than 150 years, our students have gone on to become lifelong learners, principled leaders and productive citizens. One star is too great for this school! 8 things you should know before you attend! -all they care about is Money -parking sucks (students can relate) -campus safety have no life -highschool with dorms ( everything is monitored) -stressful learning system ( 10 weeks isn’t enough) -terrible food - pricey (literally all they want is your money) *you would think that paying all that money every year would pay off.. well it won’t! -predominantly white school Please don’t waste your time & money on this place!!!! Not a great school at all! I regret attending!!

Attended NCC for undergrad and MBA. Individual attention to students is what separates North Central from the rest. Great extracurricular activities as well, including athletics, performing arts, academic and cultural clubs.

If you work they WILL NOT accommodate you in ANY capacity. Teachers, counselors, EVERYBODY is unwilling to be flexible in the slightest way. So unless you are having your education paid for by mom and dad you will not get along well here. I have teachers that treat me badly when I mention work at all. They see it as me not being dedicated to my education. They have NO empathy for those of us that actually have to work to pay for our expensive education. To their credit, I have had knowledgeable professors, but they are very focused on having you memorize every little fact rather than analyzing information or applying it to anything. Another plus is the class size. They are small classes and I do like that about the school, but that hardly makes up for other aspects. I have attended other colleges that treat you like an adult. At this school you are scolded as if you are in high school.
