Beautiful Beach. Water was warm and very comfortable in end of August. It was less crowded and we had a great time. I will recommend to anyone who would love to have a swim in nice and cozy water. It was a sand beach and around is so beautiful. Prince Edward county has a lot to discover. A great place to plan a day with your family and friends.
Love this beach. It's been a favourite for years. It's so much less congested now that reservations are required. The park is well maintained, and I love how the staff keep an eye on everything. Some out of town visitors were sneaking beer and throwing the bottles into the bushes between beaches, but they were dealt with swiftly. If you're just coming to break the rules and ruin it for others... Stay home. The canteen works hard to meet demand, only wish they had more variety when it comes to their chips lol. Keep up the good work! There is a dog friendly beach on the north Bay Beach side not Lake Ontario side
Nice enough beach..love the constant waves and wind. Snack bar only open Friday to Sunday which was annoying. A little too crowded for my liking. Very little shade. A little expensive for just the beach..no rentals or picnic shelters. Still a nice sandy beach if you like to stay cool with the perfect amount of wind and waves.
Absolutely stunning white sand and rock beach, pre registered parking, beautiful clear and warm water, fairly shallow for a long while, with at leat 2 sand bars, allowing you go quite far!
Water here is fairly clean, not top tier but definitely cleaner then some beaches i’ve been too. Typically packed all day during the summer so you’ll definitely want to make a reservation or get here early. Without a good parking spot inside the park grounds, it’s a good 15-20 minute walk to get from one side of the beach to the other side. Change rooms and bathrooms are absolutely disgusting so I recommend changing before you come. Have only seen a park ranger once in the 15 years i’ve been going to this beach so not sure what that’s all about. Canteen hours are also a tad odd and all over the place. Overall a decent spot to go in the summer time.
Totally worth the road! Sandbanks was full for the day so we decided to reserve our place to this beach. We loved it. Calm and very clean beach. We loved our day and enjoyed the water. Little gem :
Beautiful white sand beaches, the water was clear and no fishy smell or gasoline smell - the place felt like you were on a tropical island somewhere. Definitely worth the drive out for a beautiful day at the beach
White Sand and Clear water. Nice long beach to enjoy with family. Beautiful sunset view. Gets very busy on hot summer days, reserve early to get a spot
Experience would have been more pleasant, enjoyable and comfortable if it weren't for filthy washrooms/change rooms. In these times one would expect that these facilities would be kept clean round the clock
We enjoyed last week walking with the dog the snow and ice-covered beach. What a view.
