Stopped by the corner market to pickup some meat to smoke over the weekend. Talked to alex who helped me get the right cut, rub, and sauce i needed. This was by far the best batch of anything ive ever done in the smoker. From the quality of meat to the help to get me going from their friendly staff ypu cant compare to any other shop in town. Quality products at a reasonable price and great customer service. Highly recommend!!
Aaron, Jen and his team at the North Barrie Corner Market catered a buffet style staff lunch for 130 people in our organization. We were served pulled pork, large chicken half portions and amazing brisket. Not the mention the 4 different salads all home made BTW. The food was amazing! Not one complaint was heard. Communications from planning through delivery was painless and seamless. Would definitely recommend not only their in-store service, but also their catering offerings.
I have experienced on multiple occasions, the wonderful selections offered by the North Barrie Market. The steaks are a hot topic with my family and we can't get enough of the twice baked potatoes!! The butcher Alex is a creative genius with his stuffed chicken breasts and he goes above and beyond for all his customers! The shop carries so many amazing brands, the eggnog at Christmas will now be a tradition for my family that's for sure! You can't go wrong when you shop here!!
A Delightful and Heartfelt Shopping Experience - On a recent Sunday visit to this charming small grocery store, Theresa and I were immediately greeted by one of the owners who was working that day. The warm welcome we received set the tone for our entire shopping experience. The owner enthusiastically jumped into sharing fascinating stories about the origins of their products, from the meat to the dairy items. I wholeheartedly recommend this small grocery store for its exceptional food quality, the dedication of its owners, and the memorable shopping experience they provide. Oh my goodness, what a GEM of a market! Something for everyone. I have recently discovered the North Barrie Market that includes The Bayfield Butcher and am so impressed with all that they do. Each time I enter the shop, I am warmly greeted and shown Meal Solutions that work for a busy family like mine. They always provide the best service but last week they went over and above for me. I was entertaining and looking for a charcuterie board. Spoke to Aaron and Jennifer and brought my empty board to them. The next day I picked up the most exquisite array of meats, cheeses, olives and garnishes. It was a picture to behold! Unfortunately I am not techie enough to post the picture but it really was over the top for quality. My guests raved about it and I had to confess that it was prepared for me, I could not take the compliments that the North Barrie Market deserved. Thanks so much to all the staff at the North Barrie Market, you have a happy customer for life!
Great local business to deal with. Friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. The steaks were wonderful and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back and recommending family and friends to go here for their steak/meat needs!
Bought two meat pies today my wife got steak and mushroom I got jerk chicken. Her pie was amazing super good lots of flavour ! My pie was sub par the crust was good the rice and chicken inside was well seasoned but it needs some ox tail gravy and that pie would have been perfect!
Great little store with few specialties. Great meat and spices, seasonings. Friendly stuff, very helpful! Pre-made dishes for u to cook or just warm up in the oven ready to go. Stop by and check this out this place!
Great Selection of Fresh and Frozen Meat, Sides, Vegetables. DELI Counter, Lunch Counter ... the Pulled Pork is amazing btw ... Staff is friendly and helpful. If you love to BBQ or just cook in general ... THIS IS THE PLACE!!!
5 stars for selection and staff. A lot of ready-to-cook options. Ontario meats, local products and all Canadian goods. Really impressed after my first visit and highly recommend.
