I love the environment, and my waitress was constantly checking on me. I had the Country Fried Steak and Coffee and loved, loved, loved it. The best in Milwaukee hands down. I also felt respected and was very comfortable sitting alone. The music was comforting and felt like I was back at home with my family growing up. Thanks for the Great Service and experience. I will be bringing my babies and spouse back for their food.‍‍‍
Amazing fish fry! The potato pancakes were just OK but the fries were great. Also have been there a couple other times because I am in love with their food! The portions for everything are huge! All their salads, sandwiches, quesadillas...you can't go wrong! All have been amazing.
Pros: My food tasted amazing. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with fries and ranch. The chicken was well seasoned and actually tasted like chicken. My fries were really good. I also got the salted caramel cheesecake which was fantastic. Everything was decently priced and the service was fine. Cons: My food was warm not hot like it had been sitting a while. And there were some very annoying gnats. Update: I went again for brunch and it was absolutely delicious. It was a long wait, but well worth it. I got banana foster french toast which was so so good. Everyone in our party loved their food and great service. North Ave needs another, bigger location though! So we can all enjoy without waiting an hour in line.
I'm pretty much an Eggs Benedict connoisseur and I honestly think this was the best I've ever had. The pulled bacon in it was amazing! My hubby's country-fried steak and eggs was really good too and huge portions.Food: 5/5
First time there, great dinner!! The Grilled Tuna BLT with spicy Wasabi mayo was marvelous! My wifes Cesar Chicke wrap was very large, stuffed full of chicken. Fantastic hand cut fries - they got them X crispy for me Vegetarian options: Salads, breakfast option protiens Kid-friendliness: Milkshakes! Wheelchair accessibility: Close.to the street corner, wide doors
This is arguably the best breakfast spot in Wauwatosa. It has a great classic diner feel with the counter inside and patio dining outside. I was able to try 2 different breakfast wraps: the wakey wakey eggs and bakey and Felix’s revenge. Both were amazing in their own unique way. Their bacon is also amazing! I definitely recommend giving it a try.
This is a cute cozy diner. Their breakfast was good and we didn't wait long. Lots of breakfast and lunch options to pick from
I love this place this was my second time going first time my Manager took me for a welcome breakfast it was GREAT so I went back on my own and had this oh my God I'm in love and I will be a regular Food: 5/5
Such a great place for breakfast! Went here for the first time with my buddy this morning. Got the classic breakfast - two eggs, sourdough toast, bacon, and their American fries aka a better version of hash browns. Hot, fresh, and so delicious! I will be back here for sure. Highly recommended!
Thursday at 6pm - In the area on a trip, and I got some suggestions from people who grew up in Wauwatosa so I landed at North Avenue Grill! There's a constant bustle with folks conversations, they play good music and you can hear your own conversation just fine. My party of 2 got seated at a booth that could seat at least 6, so no complaints on seating! Service was good, the waitress wasn't super talkative but I chalk it up to the busy hour. I ordered a coffee and The Ghost burger. They serve Valentine's coffee, and usually I don't differentiate between kinds but it was exceptionally good! I had three cups of it not that I needed as much. The Ghost was 1/2 pound of really good Angus, ghost pepper cheese and a few other of my fav ingredients - - all of them were good! It also came with french fries, and they did not disappoint. I could not get enough of them, nor the burger itself! The person I was there with ordered an omelet, and it was excellently sized and apparently really good. They have seasonal desserts and daily soups, neither of which I tried but I think they're likely up to expectation for this place. First visit and certainly not my last!
