Story

Since 1973, our restaurant, bakery, and gift shop have provided western Wisconsin with "tastes like grandma's" cooking and "feels like home" service that's so good we now have locations in Osseo, Hayward, Rice Lake, and Eau Claire. In all that we do, we provide a perfect blend of Norwegian and American traditions.

We went here for lunch on the way back from Milwaukee to North Dakota last week (second time eating here!) The food is delicious and it's such a cute environment. Our waitress, Marlene, was WONDERFUL!! She was attentive but not overbearing, and so dang thoughtful. She brought out applesauce for my one year old (I didn't order him anything, just had him snacking off my plate) and she asked me quietly if I wanted my 5 year olds pancakes with or without chocolate chips. And she hid the cookies in a napkin so he didn't see them when our food was ready, so I could choose when to give them to him. She was so considerate and sweet and one of the best waitresses I've ever had! I highly recommend Norse Nook!! But if you come right at lunch, it will be a little bit of wait since everyone else knows how good this place is, too!! :)

I've been going here for over 20 years. Food, Service and Pie are absolutely wonderful. It's worth going out of your way to stop at the Norske Nook! You cannot leave without a slice of pie. Our favorites are the Lemon Meringue and the Death By Chocolate!!

The food was very good. We had the daily special of chicken pot pie. The crust was the highlight. Tender and flaky! We had a nice waitress. Although we didn't eat a dessert pie, it looked fabulous and there were many different pies available. Friendly place. Worth a stop, for sure!

The food is home cooked deliciousness!! So many pie and cookies selections and huge pieces. We make sure we stop every time we drive through Wisconsin. Well worth the visit. The staff is very pleasant.

Outstanding! Honestly the best breakfast we've ever had. Pancakes, yum! Potato pancakes, yum! Lefse wraps, delicious. Got some pies to go because we were to full to eat them. They look delicious too. We'll have them tonight for dessert. Service was very good and place was clean which is always important to me. 08/15/2017 Update. We have the pie. Oh my goodness, They were all very delicious. Butterscotch like my mother used to make!
