Please avoid this college if you are an international student. Just scamming money from international student. Yesterday, I got email 11pm that your online exam is canceled and they didn’t gave me any another date and I emailed them and I didn’t get and any response and then I emailed about same to teacher and she replied contact student care I don’t know about this? So no reply from student care then next morning I went to college and they said we don’t know why this happened to you may be system problem and now you have only one option you give exam now in class. I said what? They said yes, no other option. And actually my exam was next day that they canceled. So I didn’t bring my laptop that day and even I didn’t prepared properly because I was thinking I still have one day but on that day I gave exam because they said give exam or you accept fail! And they actually failed me for 2 points. Now please tell me this is my mistake that you canceling my exam 2 days before exam date and not replying me after when I contact you in person you saying you are fail or give exam today right now? PLEASE AVOID THIS BULSHIT COLLEGE. NO MORE STUDENTS COMING AND NOW THEY START FAILING OLD STUDENTS TO MAKE MONEY.
I would like to thank the International Student Office at NorQuest College for providing me with excellent service. It was truly above and beyond. A special thanks to Srdan for his outstanding support and assistance. Also to Courtney and Samantha.nnFromnMichelle R.
I feel like Norquest collage throws “Treaty Six” and whatever stuff for show. Yes they may have outlets for certain things but as an Indigenous person I feel like they wasted a lot of my time.nnI also feel like they misinformed me on 90% of my enrolment process. I waited hour and half for an online meeting just to not get into the online meeting.nnI book a test exam and they just changed the date without asking me if that day worked for me, on top of it they never even said what kind of mathematics I’d have to preform. Didn’t inform me I couldn’t use my own calculator either so I’m going into a test blind without any knowledge on what I have to preform. I even went in early a few days before to figure out there process on it.nnI went in to get enrolled to get my Highschool diploma and I’m only missing my social studies 30 and part of the enrolment process was to take a math test when I already have my math 30. I believe that they should have better tests instead for that enrolment process. Why do I need to preform mathematics for a Social Studies class?nnNot to sound bitter but as a young Indigenous man why should I have to pay an outstanding amount of money for a course when international students pay less for their post secondary at other colleges?nnDo I have to show up to them my qualifications, transcripts and status card to get treated better?nnI was excited when I first got my student ID number but after that I felt like a email battle and when I got into the collage I felt like a lot of it was all for show. I’m glad they offered indigenous student food because a lot of us can’t afford meals I’ll say that though.nnMaybe other people have had better experiences but I felt like I got the short end of the stick. If they change a few things I’d wait and give them a better review but for anyone who is trying to get there upgrading maybe check out metro where it is more affordable.nnI hate leaving bad reviews but I also feel like young adults who want to better themselves should see what I had to go through.nnThanks for anyone at the college who sees this and thinks “Hey? Maybe this student really wants to further his education and make the process a little more suitable.”
Genuinely confused as to why I am being falsely accused of owing this institution money when i withdrew in september and never attended my classes due to this institutions inability to wait for the issuing of student loans, even with clear approval for loans and waiting deposit.nI did not attend this school and I absolutely do not owe anyone for fees. what a joke.
If you aren’t an international student they don’t care about you. Loud events taking place in the common area during peak campus hours, sketchy area with homeless people camping outside, unorganized labs and poor communication…the list goes on.nnDon’t waste your money here. If you’re using it as a stepping stone to another program like a university degree, look elsewhere.
