I ordered 1.Alfredo Fettuccine with grilled Chicken : Worst possible grilled chicken ever. It was burnt. If you grill chicken for 1 hour the chicken will become hard like rubber. I usually never waste food but in this case I couldn’t eat Usually I review things which I really like but this is exceptional case. 2.Pizza Make your own It was an average pizza nothing great. I felt it’s bit over cooked. Ambiance 5/5 Food 2/5 Price 2/5 Staff 5/5 I like the ambiance. You can find most of the wild animals of North America continent.
Love the decor. It was very rustic with lots of exotic animal mounts, including Zebra. Food was pricy, but it's a tourist town & we were on vacation, so we chose to eat there. I had the shrimp scampi and it was very good! Came with a baked potato & steamed veggies. My husband had the Italian salad and liked it also. Parking: They had parking in front of the plaza an behind it. Wheelchair accessibility: It was wheelchair accessible . Dietary restrictions: They had salads with and without meat. The had a couple vegetarian meals.
Why are 0 stars not an option? This place is just about the worst I've ever experienced and this is coming from a person who waited over an hour for drinks once. Almost $20 for a tiny caprese salad see pic with old spinach, no basil, 6 slices of tomato and 5 small boconcini balls. Margherita pizza tasted funky and used dried basil instead of fresh. Thursday night and this was the only place open when we arrived. The restaurant was practically empty. We stood in the takeout line while the girl at the desk took phone order after phone order and got distracted by a dude/friend who didn't even work there while a queue formed behind us. Eventually the manager came out and took our order after about 10-15 minutes. We sat and waited for over 40 minutes surrounded by the terrible horrible stuffed animals and eventually the pizza came out. Then we waited another 10± minutes for the salad to come out, so the pizza went cold. And the salad was absolutely the worst. Wish I had just gone without dinner
Dinner was absolutely fantastic. The service was friendly and helpful as well. The pricing was medium to high, but the portion sizes were really big, which was nice. Glad we chose to have dinner here.
One of the best Italian restaurants we've been too. Pizza is super delicious with the best quality meat toppings. What we love the most is the seafood portofino pasta, one of the best pastas we've ever had. I have never been a fan of the mussels but I became a convert with their succulent and juicy blue mussels. The scallops were perfectly cooked. We'd love to eat there again if we ever go back to Mackinaw City.
First and foremost the food we got was amazing! We had to go back a second time. For appetizers we had Bruschetta, we created our own pizza with our fav toppings and got the Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo the reason we went back twice. The steak was extremely delicious and the sauce didn’t taste like a regular Alfredo sauce, it was creamier and cheesier. The decor definitely doesn’t scream Italian, it was all taxidermy but it was pretty and I actually enjoyed snapping a few pictures of it. The staff was very friendly and quick. Would definitely go back when I visit again.
Ambience - it depends if you like to be surrounded with stuffed animals while eating. I am not a fan of that Service - good Food - Ok Location - Great. Enjoyed fireworks@09:00 pm on Friday before the dinner I ordered Gnocchi Sorrentina and Garden Marinara.
i ordered the seafood portofino and it was so delicious!! even the noodles were amazing. the atmosphere is strange - they have tons of stuffed animals taxidermy style EVERYWHERE. it was so overpriced though :/ server was very nice and gave us a discount
Pizza was just okay. The bruschetta was very good. The ambiance was different for an Italian restaurant however I’m a hunter so I enjoyed it. Definitely wouldn’t get the pizza again. Service was good.
Weirdest decor. No one wants to eat fettuccine with a dead bird hanging above them. I’m from Montana and am very used to hunting trophies, but this was over the top. Food was decent. Wait staff was grumpy and took a long time. Just seemed like a poacher who liked Olive Garden.
