We were looking for a good Gnocchi and found this place. It’s has cool decoration and a very friendly staff. Food is also great. The sauce at the gnocchi was amazing could have a little bit more. Not the cheapest place, but definitely we’ll go back to try others type of pasta.
We arrived around 7pm on a Saturday & there was a short line. The wait was about an hour unless you're okay with bar seating & we were so we were seated right away. The bartender was great! We got drink recommendations & they were both delicious. For food we ordered the grilled octopus as an appetizer, the gnocchi & ravioli as our mains - everything was fresh & cooked to perfection. Portions were also just right. We will definitely be back!!!
Italian fare in exposed brick building with open, wood exposed ceilings. Two levels of seating. Had no reservations but was able to snag a table on busy Sunday evening in 35min. Pasta and pizza were well cooked. Our table had both vegetable and meat rigatoni. Vegetable rigatoni: Well cooked, large pasta with a smoky mozzarella and fresh arugula and parmesan cheese. Bread was to die for...fresh bread made in house, would like to just order bread! Pizza was wood fired with a simple, tasty sauce. Two full pages of both white and red sauce pizzas for all tastes. Service was excellent and server was well versed on the menu items. Arancini was "the best", not dry, crispy outside and a perfect mix of meat sauce and cheese. Bathroom was clean. Overall nice ambiance and excellent Italian fare. May be my new favorite Italian place.
Recently visited this location and it was a pleasant experience. Front of house staff are very warm and friendly, creating a homey feeling. The location isn’t that large however we were seated upstairs in a private room which fit about 14 people comfortably. The food tasted fresh and the presentation was lovely. I would recommend this location to my friends and family. Parking may be a little tricky but it is because it is on a main street. Restaurant was very clean!
An absolute delight! After a long day, it felt like we had reached an oasis! The service was friendly, helpful a prompt and the food quite excellent! Cocktail 10/10 Focaccia 9/10 Warm olives 10/10 Caesar salad 9.5/10 Carbonara 8/10 Ozzo bucco risotto 9/10 Bread pudding 8/10 Chocolate, vanilla and pistachio gelato 9.5/10 Cappuccino 9/10
Focaccia, carbonara, oricchiette, and tiramisu. Focaccia was so delicious! Highly recommend. The carbonara is delightfully savoury and with an interesting pasta. The rapini and the meat in the oricchiette was nice blend of flavour with nicely differing textures. Tiramisu had a lot of cream and not enough richness for my liking didn't taste any espresso but was light and fluffy. Dined on patio on the side street which is quieter and decorated with lights and shaded by trees. The upstairs interior looks quaint too. Overall great dining experience with excellent service.
We loved the freshly baked faccacia! Pizza was really good and beef carpaccio is great! Very busy , servers are in a rush with a smile
First time at Nodo Leslieville. Piazza bruschetta, duck ragu and grilled chicken. All very good. Chicken was very tasty but a bit dry. Great service from Jessika.
Food was great like many reviews had mentioned and my photos suggested. However, what I want to point out is that service speed can be improved. Food was ready and called by kitchen twice via a bell for our server to bring to the table but server was busy chatting with other staff. At the end when I asked for my bill with the machine, the server went back to behind the bar to work instead leading us to ask for the bill again. Didn’t leave with the most pleasant feeling.
I love this place for slightly upscale Italian food. Loved everything we tried - but the gnocchi gets a special shout-out
