Story

Nipawin Bible College is an interdenominational college focused on inspiring students to know and live God's Word while working towards developing them as passionate followers of Jesus Christ with a heart to serve. This is achieved through our well-rounded academics, relational community life, student ministry, and an overall focus and heart for discipling our students that flows through every part of life here.


PROGRAMS

-Foundations for Life Certificate (1 year program )
Grow in your knowledge of the Bible, the person of God, and your relationship to Him all in the context of discipleship. All resident students enrol in this program in order to lay a solid foundation of personal growth. Regardless of whether you are considering one year or more you will get a better understanding of God's leading and the call of believers to live for Christ in all areas of life.

-Christians Ministry Diploma (2 year program)
Develop mature Christian character and passionate commitment to servant leadership in your church, workplace, and community. This program moves beyond the foundations and further challenges you to apply God's truth to the world in which you live.

-Bachelor of Christian Ministry (3 year program)
With a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures, training in servant leadership, and development of skills for Christian ministry, you will be prepared to serve in a variety of contexts including church ministry, para-church and missions.

-Bachelor of Arts in Christian Leadership (4 year program)
This program is internship based, which means students are on site in their chosen ministry and return to NBC five weeks throughout the year for modular classes. Intended to transition students from classroom to the field, the program incorporates hands-on training, discipleship, and rigorous academics to create a unique and challenging experience.

-Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies (4 years program)
This program is designed to equip you with sound biblical knowledge to prepare you for ministry or further studies. You will take a combination of module format and independent study classes, guided by a faculty member.

SCHOLARSHIP OPTIONS

MAJOR SCHOLARSHIPS:

-Ministry Children - $1500
To partner with and support families in full time vocational ministry
~Criteria~ Applicant must be 21 years of age or younger. One parent must be in full time ministry which is their main source of income. Applicant must attain a GPA of 2.0 first semester to be eligible for the scholarship in second semester.

- Fine Arts - $1000 (Entrance)
To invite students gifted in music or drama to come be a part of our various fine arts opportunities
~Criteria~ Piano applicants must have RCM grade 8 or its equivalent. If applicant does not have RCM requirements they need to submit a 10 min video of them playing 2 different styles of music. The 10min video also applies to Guitar and Voice applicants. Drama applicants must submit an audition video featuring their abilities.

-Academic - $1000 (Entrance)
To recruit academically strong students.
~Criteria~ Applicant must have attained an average of 83% or higher in their grade 12 courses.

-New Believer - $1000 (Entrance)
NBC wishes to recognize an incoming student who may have become a believer recently. Often in such cases it can be difficult to raise the finances and support needed to attend Bible College, especially if the student has come from an un-churched and non-Christian background.
~Criteria~ The qualifying applicant will not have been a Christian for more than 3 years. Some exceptions could be considered on a case-by-case scenario. The successful applicant will attach on a separate piece of paper a 200 word explanation of their family and Christian background and why they feel they should be considered for this scholarship. We may contact your Christian reference to vouch for your character and the place you are at in your walk with God.

MINOR SCHOLARSHIPS:

- Camp – up to $750 (matching)
Giving students the incentive to work at Bible camps while attending NBC.
~Criteria~ Any incoming NBC student may receive up to $750 from the camp they work at which NBC will match. The camp director must recommend applicant, and they must be a full time student at NBC the year in which the scholarship is awarded. The money from the camp must be over and above normal salary received.

- Home Based Education – up to $1000
Promote NBC through the network of home- based education.
~Criteria~ Students will receive $100 for each year of completed home-based education to a maximum of $1000.

- Recruitment - $750 each
Give students an incentive to promote NBC to others.
 ~Criteria~ Recruited student must acknowledge who recruited them on their application. Recruiter must let Admissions staff know who they recruited. Both students must attend NBC in the same school year.

- Family - $500 each
An incentive to make attending NBC a Family Affair.
~Criteria~ Awarded to all family members who meet the family member* status and attend NBC the same entire school year. (* Father, mother, brother, sister, step- brother, step sister, husband or wife.)

- Community Servant - $500
As we anticipate our students growing as servants while at NBC, we also want to recognize those who have already chosen to go down the path of showing a heart to serve.
~Criteria~ The qualifying applicant will have been involved in at least one or more servant roles over the past 2 years. Qualifying roles may include but are not limited to: Sunday School teaching, youth group sponsor or leading, being part of a regular church music team, church custodian or other un-paid but regularly recurring church roles.
