I am impressed to say the least! Had such a wonderful experience here when I came to renew my passport. Came in expecting to get the 'Nigerian treatment' but was instead surprised by the friendliness, quick service and professionalism I experienced here. My appointment was 12noon so I drove down from Toronto and arrived the consultate just before 11am. I was in and out in less than one hour and was able to go back to Toronto the same day. Just make sure you read all the requirements on the website carefully. Also take note that having NIN is a must for your passport request to be processed.nnUpdate: Received my passport! So the whole process took about 2 weeks.
I had a great experience at the high commission. It was quick and smooth. I particularly enjoyed the warmth from the woman at the waiting hall. She sure received everyone gently and kindly. As long you are on schedule and you have all your required docs, including your NIN being in order with your passport details, voila! You'd be out of there in a short time.nTheir response time to emails sent to them is also commendable. I would say, thumbs up to the team there
It has been six week I went to the Nigeria Embassy in Ottawa for my Data capturing and until now I have not gotten my Passport.nThe tracking link has been on “passport production in progress” for the pass three weeks.nThis is sad, heartbreaking and unfair as my passport expires in few weeks and I need this new passport to process my stay in Canada.nNigeria Embassy in Ottawa, please kindly look into this
A Terrible experience. Booked an appointment for 1st of April in December, only to plan everything out, come here, and they were on holiday!nnA common courtesy to tell the appointees by mail and phone if possibly not to come this day!nnHowever, that was not the case, people flew from different parts of Canada only to be stranded here.nnit was a post on their Instagram with 6 likes, 4 days ago that was to alert the appointees not to come.nnVery unpleasant experience!
This is the worst service I have ever received from a place I call home. I came with my family of 5 today the 19th of April, 2024 to come and capture after I had applied online back in January of 2024, our appointment for every member of my family was today except my husband. First of I was told that each of us has to pay for a $50 money order which is a total of $250 even when we bought a big envelope, they still insisted that is $50 each. Second the refused my husband from capturing today because the said his appointment was not today, I tried to talk to the boss/madam Titi or Bisi she vehemently ignored me and snubbed me. I told her I was coming from Hamilton and she ignored. We were there from 9am till 4pm and still my husband did get to capture. Instead he was told to come back another time. This is the worst boss I have ever seen.nJane K.
