Great time! Easy to book and follow the itinerary on our self ride. We visited Caroline, Riverview and Reif and it was $80/person for the afternoon and bike rentals. When we got to the wineries, we’d just say our time, number of people in our group, and that we were with Niagara Getaway wine tours. They’re located behind an antique shop
We had a great time on our "hockey moms" wine tour while we were at a tournament in Niagara Falls. The tour was easy to arrange, our driver was excellent and even dropped us off at the rink. One of our members left something on the van and he brought it back to us promptly. We had such a good time! Thanks!
We had a great time with Niagara Getaways! Matt our driver/guide was friendly and personable. On our way back to the the hotel he even stopped in to another winery to get a bottle of wine for my husbands birthday! Which was such a nice gesture. Thanks again!
Had a fabulous tour with Matt - he had a technical hiccup but made things work for our gang... he was friendly, informative and provided door to door service. A fun day!
By far the best company to book with for wine tours. They took special care of our group, ensuring we had the most amazing time at every winery we chose. Our driver was exceptional, as he made our day absolutely perfect right from pickup. The company’s experience in wine land leads you to amazing locations, whether it be the best wineries in the region, or the up and coming ones that no one knows about. We never had to wait to do our tastings, and we never felt rushed the entire afternoon or over our dinner. Matt is the owner of the company and goes out of his way, as do his drivers, to ensure you get the best experience in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Their pricing is unbeatable, and so is their service. You would be crazy not to book with this company, as I have used them 3 times now and it has always been phenomenal.
Good. However, the self guided biking tour was not approximately 6 hours as described online and the itinerary was poorly planned. We had about 3 hours to visit 3 wineries including tasting, travel time, shopping. We were told the biking distance was approx 15-20 mins to the 1st winery, however it ended up taking around 30-40 mins. We were 20 mins late to our 1st winery so we had to rush the tasting and no time to look around before we had to bike to our next stop. No time for lunch at the 2nd before we had to head on another 30-40 min bike ride to the next winery. Worker mentioned visiting other wineries on the way but as if.. we barely had time for water breaks. Rushed experience. If we had more of a time gap between wineries it would’ve made the experience much more enjoyable - that is all.
I surprised my sister with a brachlorette party and Matt was 45 minutes late picking us up, only to find out that we were picking up another group without our knowledge during covid. We had lunch reservations included and when we went to the first winery, he left with the other girls and did not bother to mention that our lunch reservations were there. The third and fourth winery he took off somewhere and left us waiting for him. This was my first wine tour and I really wanted to make the day special. The girls that were with us were seasoned wine tourors and said that this is not how it is suppose to be. I booked with the intention of our group having our own driver because of covid only to be informed at the time of pick up they dont do that. Definelty the last time i use this company. Dont believe what they say because it wont be the truth.
Just had an awesome day touring some beautiful wineries with Niagara Getaways! My boyfriend and I got a great deal through Groupon and the guy at Niagara Getaways was super nice and helpful. We stopped at 6 wineries, each with 2-4 tastings each, and one included a tour! We loved every minute of it and will definitely be doing it again next year!
Amazing tour! Our guide was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable of the area, and he took us to some really wonderful, smaller wineries that we otherwise would not have known of. It was a great way to spend the day together and we ended up purchasing some really lovely wines. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a more personalized experience and for trying out wines you might not be able to find at the LCBO
