I was greatly amazed at the amounts of historical information regarding Idaho. While there, author Dick Southern was having a book signing for 2 books he wrote "HALFWAY STAGE STOP" & "THE BIG SCHOOL ON A HILL". All proceeds donated to the museum. I purchased a set as a gift for a family member who is interested in the history of Idaho.
Small, but awesome. A lovely, well maintained, little museum of local histories. They even have interactive things for kids. Like the old 1880's typewriter.
Small museum, rich in history. Didn’t know much about Idaho and felt knowledgeable afterwards.
Medium size but lots of good info on the area. Probably about 1hr visit is sufficient
Interesting information about the history of the area. We also went to get pictures from a photographer whose familt donated all of his negatives. $5 for the packet of negatives and proceed go to the museum. Such a great idea, and we found some from my great grandparents.
Extremely nice staff, great hands on stations for my kids. They loved the "fact" scavenger hunt and the cute prizes upon completion. Small but a great way to get to know local history!
Check out the history that has occurred locally. Educational for anyone living here. Students from LCSC have worked hard on the new displays and put together great information.
This museum has great local history and helpful staff to answer questions you may have. They also have hands on stations that both children and adults can enjoy.
