Food was yummy The lady who served us wasn’t really welcoming or nice. Food came in a timely manner. Recommend trying Monkeys brain from the menu deep fried avocado with imitation carb, cheese ….
We ordered three rolls from New Tokyo Sushi. I thought the scallops in the roll was good! They added imitation crab in the roll to bulk up the roll. I'm used to the roll just having scallops with Masago optional.. There was a little hair in the scallop roll. You can see it in the close up on the cucumber.. The rice in all the rolls were subpar. I didn't like the rice at all. It's dense, compact, and cold. Some of the grains were hard and broke apart into powder. Presentation was nice. Just FYI for other customers: The BC roll uses *tempura cooked salmon without skin*. The sauce is terryaki sauce. This is a little different from what we were used to in the lower mainland as the BC rolls are usually salmon skin with some meat but definitely needed the grilled skin.
Ordered a large meal from here this evening, including a Kazan roll and a tuna Tataki roll, for takeout. Got home and noticed there were two Kazan rolls and no tuna Tataki roll. Went back to be told we’re wrong and that we’ve definitely been given one of each. As you can see from the attached, that isn’t the case. Very rude interaction and considering we spent over $120, including tip, incredibly unimpressed.
Best Sushi in town. The Power Roll taste great, has a crunchy exterior texture and pops with balance sweet and savoury. The Salmon nigiris were solid, the rice grains kept it's texture which is uncommon even in Vancouver. Service was also very friendly. Great selection of dishes. Will come back for sure.
The service is very good as the waitress is very friendly and accommodated the requests. However, the food needs to be improved as every dishes we ordered are too sweet which removed the favor of rice and raw fish as it should be.
We were a large group out to celebrate a milestone. Sat in a semi private room which met our needs, so 4 stars for atmosphere. The food, we ordered a varied menu, was fresh, hot, tasty, and well presented. I give 3 stars for service but would note that they were short staffed. The young woman who served the 9 of us ran off her feet to bring us our food in a timely manner. Staffing issues are a challenge up north. This rating is not a reflection on her.
Awesome sushi place in Dawson creek. I was a visitor here and many people suggested me this sushi place. It doesn't disappoint, the waitress was very helpful and suggested me some great dishes. I tried miso soup, dinner box B and crazy roll. Everything tasted great and portions were very reasonable. Overall, I was very happy and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who visits or lives in Dawson Creek.
Good food and a quiet atmosphere to enjoy your meal in. Prices are a little high for the food recieved, but overall a good place to go for sushi Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options are available Parking: Plenty of parking space available, which is easy to access
This was some of the most amazing sushi I have ever had. We drove over an hour to eat here, that's how good it is!
Very tasty food but we came at the evening rush hour and had to wait quite long, and the appetizers came last..
