I loved going to New Stars Video. Pretty much the only store left to rent DVD's. Saddened to see it will not be re-opening.

They've outlasted Blockbuster, Jumbo Video, Rogers Video and Redbox! Amazingly they are still going strong. This family run store has provided countless hours of entertainment during my youthful years. I think they opened in the 80s.

This video store is a neighbourhood treasure: the friendliest people, great collection, reasonable prices. We love to go there, even though it's a long walk for us. Great way to get the latest DVDs and other movies not available on Canadian Netflix.

The BEST video rental and sales place EVER! !! THE owners are amazing and love suggesting movies to their customers.  They are super friendly and really appreciate their LOYAL customers

30 years ago the owner came to my house and tried to pick a fistfight with my dad over a 1 day late VHS of 101 Dalmations.

We prefer to rent Blu-rays rather than watch VOD, particularly if 3D versions are available. Service is always friendly and film availability is good. Just make sure that you call ahead to ensure they are open if you have a long walk. Hours can be a bit inconsistent vs. what is advertised as this is a small business.

The best spot in the city to rent movies. James provides recommendations across genres and eras, a true stalwart of the Woodbine Heights community.
