Nettoyeur Daoust

I unfortunately have to recommend avoiding this place at all costs. I brought in a sweater with a broken zipper. I was told the zipper would be 17$ to fix with no further charges. I pre-paid, was given a receipt, and was told the zipper would take three days to fix. I returned four days later only to be told that I owed them 51$. When I asked why, the woman at the counter said, "That's just the price." When I produced the receipt and showed her that I had pre-paid, she refused to honour the cost of the job and absolutely demanded that I pay 51$ for nothing else other than a broken zipper. I asked that she honour the original price and let me have my sweater, but she refused and said I would have to pay the manager the difference if I wanted my sweater back. Even the man who was standing behind me in line disclaimed at the extortion. Finally, I was so frustrated, I said I would come back with the authorities and let them settle it. Two minutes after I left, the manager conveniently decided to phone me to tell me that I could come and retrieve my sweater. I have never seen such poor behaviour at a business: to accidentally misquote a price is one thing, but to threaten to keep an item that was already paid for in the hope of getting more money is entirely beyond me.

Avoid this place serously. I had a pair of curtains to dry clean and brought it to them. When I picked them up they were completely destroyed. So, after many many phonecalls and back and forths with their manager Roxanne they refused to pay for my curtains. They told me they're going to write a note that I can bring the store i bought the curtains from and get a refund. When I went to get this note the guy at the counter had no idea what i was talking about... These people dont have their s**t together. Furthermore, while I was waiting in line to deal with this, two different customers came to pickup their clothes and there were nowhere to be found. This place has the worst service of all and they should not be in business. Please avoid.

Not the place to go for anything slightly complicated. Inexperienced staff ignore specific instructions and clothes get ruined. I will never return.

Go to Nettoyeur Vic that's just around the corner, much better service and quality/price!

I just moved to the neighbourhood and was delighted to find a drycleaner just 1 block away. Unfortunately the 2 clerks that have served me so far are so unfriendly I don't want to go back. One in particular was on her cell phone when I came in to drop clothes off and seemed really annoyed that I was bothering her. Today she barely grunted at me and once again seemed annoyed when I asked for my receipt. K. McLennan I have returned to this drycleaner and discovered that the staff who were not so helpful have been let go and I have had no further problems. In fact it is now my regular drycleaner and I am very happy with the service. K. McLennan
