A real Gem. I drove from Marshall to have a good breakfast and was thoroughly pleased with Nellie's. The food was excellent and the owners were so friendly and welcoming. Do yourself a favor and have a good home cooked meal served with a bright smile.Food: 5/5
A step back in time, but in a good way! Ever been to a Old-fashioned diner and been disappointed by the dirty furniture and bad food? Nellies Cafe is GOOD. Clean tables, classic dishes, friendly service, and a charming atmosphere. My waitress was helpful and nice and always around but never annoyingly so. She must have refilled my coffee 7 times! Will definitely be back. Best breakfast around.
This restaurant is a cozy small town cafe with 70’s charm. It has some old time memorabilia, and some great autographed pictures of the cast on the wall. The staff was friendly, and the food came out fast.
Cute and cozy place. Staff is nice and food was delicious . Restroom small, cute, and clean.
Food and service were good. But the restaurant and menu have nothing remotely similar to a Nellie's Cafe. I doubt Nellie's had wood paneling and cheeseburgers. A theme restaurant it is not, a restaurant capitalizing on an American TV personality it is.
Loved it . Wish my wife was with me ... Really enjoyed Walnut Grove and the museum.. First time to Nellie's cafe... was a little surprised they dont take credit cards but had cash,which I usually dont..Anyway great place to stop and eat.
Love Nellies Cafe. The waitresses were friendly and the food was excellent. freshly made and piping hot. Enjoyed looking at all the signed pictures on the wall from the cast of Little House on the prairie.
On our way to South Dakota on bike. Stopped here for something to eat and stretch our legs. Food was great! Homemade soup, ummm! We left very full. Staff was very pleasant and friendly! Definitely recommend stopping here!!!
A wonderful little place to eat. I am in the area due to work and decided to visit Walnut Grove. The place was full, therefore the only place to sit was at the counter. I sat between some locals and enjoyed some good conversation. The food was excellent and the homemade pie was delicious. I will go back for some more.
Nice small town Cafe with burgers, fish sandwich, salads, and pie. Fun atmosphere with TV show stars pics.om the wall. Friendly service.
