Story

Thank you for visiting Nekis Hope's, my passion and life’s purpose. Having survived inter-generational abuse, its secrecy, shame, pain, and ugly aftermath, I decided to make something beautiful and empowering from it.

Jewelry making and crafts for me were a mere therapeutic hobby until one day by the grace of God inspiration, hope, and resolve came as I threaded one bead at a time. Plans to establish a welcoming philanthropic shop housing: unique boutique items, imported gifts, skincare, books, one of a kind handmade jewelry creations, and a Mediterranean coffee house offering baklava and other tasty treats became a reality. I named it Neki’s Hope.

Neki is the Greek word for victory. The mission of my shop is to stop the silence on domestic violence and help change victim’s lives both locally and globally. Five percent of all annual profits are given locally to The Association for the Prevention of Family Violence. Additionally, another five percent of all annual profits are given to Futures without Violence to aid their global efforts for this worthy cause.

Neki’s Hope strives to spread hope for victory (hence the name) in overcoming the horrendous obstacles victims of domestic violence face. It strives to empower victims to find inner strength, beauty, and peace as well as love and respect for themselves. Resources are available for help. Available for purchase are books on getting out of abusive relationships, overcoming trauma and navigating the court system when the abuser has a personality disorder. Though there is no price tag for it compassion, empathy, and hugs are free:)

Abuse can take on one or several forms not limited to: damage to one’s reputation, repeated unwarranted restraining orders or litigation, manipulation of the justice system by the abuser aimed at entrapping the victim, sleep deprivation, neglect, alienation, physical, sexual, and or verbal assault, emotional, financial and or psychological damage. Please help Neki’s Hope stop the silence on domestic violence and help change victims lives locally and globally by becoming a loyal customer.
