I took a portrait painting class here. I really enjoyed it. They have live models at times. There is a variety of classes available here including drawing, landscape, abstract and so much more. They also offer quilting.

They have many courses, exhibitions, crafts , even knitting groups drop in. The only thing is that the location is not good, especially if you dont have a car, you need to walk little over 10 minutes to get there , then you have to walk through a parking lot. Not pedestroan friendly. At night it is dark, you need to be careful of cars.

Neilson Park is a wonderful resource but it's much more than an art gallery and offers more than art classes.  It's a community hub for makers -- weavers, spinners, rug hookers, quilters, knitters and more.  There are community events like interesting talks and craft sales.
