“Our Impression Will Keep You Smiling”
Implant Supported Dentures
OUR SERVICES:
Implants are basically artificial roots to which your denture is affixed, once again making chewing easy and comfortable. Installed by a surgeon trained in implant procedures, a few implants will serve as anchors for your prosthesis providing all the stability you will need.
Digital Dentures:
Only AvaDent lets you regain your youthful smile with the natural look and feel you thought you’d lost forever in just 2 visits.
Complete Dentures:
Dentures are artificial replacements for your natural teeth and gums. If an accident, a disease or poor oral health care has left you with only a few healthy teeth or none at all, your dentist or denturist might suggest dentures to replace your missing teeth. Your dentures should be replaced every five (5) years.
Immediate Dentures:
Immediate dentures are made before your teeth are removed. Your denturist takes measurements and makes models of your jaws during your first visit. Once your teeth are extracted, your dentist inserts the immediate dentures. The benefit of immediate dentures is that you are not without teeth during the healing period, which can take up to 12 months. During the healing period, your bones and gums can shrink and your immediate dentures may need to be relined by your denturist for a proper fit.
Partial Dentures:
Partial dentures are also called “removable partial denture prostheses” or “partials.” They may be used when nearby teeth are not strong enough to hold a bridge, or when more than just a few teeth are missing. Partial dentures are made up of one or more artificial teeth held in place by clasps that fit onto nearby natural teeth. You can take the partial denture out yourself, for cleaning and at night.
Relines/Repairs:
This is a refitting of your dentures. This procedure is usually done when you have experienced bone resorption causing your dentures to become loose or “settle out of place.” Relining allows the denture to fit your tissue properly and ideally no longer requires powders or pastes to keep dentures in place. Generally, denture repair involves the replacement of missing or broken teeth and the mending of fractures.
Permanent Soft Denture Liners:
These are resilient or “rubbery” surfaces that are placed in the denture (usually the lower) to provide a cushion. This cushioning is most often required by people with flattened lower ridges. This is done either when you have new dentures made or existing ones relined.
Name Inscription in Dentures:
Your name is placed in your denture(s) in order to minimize loss. This is especially helpful when you’re obliged to use alternate accommodations while visiting, travelling or in hospital.
Anti-Snoring Device:
The oral snoring device holds the lower jaw in a forward position, enabling the jaw from falling open during the night and causing the airway to collapse. The snoring device helps to maintain a clear airway to reduce snoring and improve breathing.
Pro-Form Mouthguards?Grinding Splints:
PRO-FORM mouthguards are designed and fitted to your athlete’s mouth like a glove fits a hand. This means that communication on the field, rink, or court is clear to everyone. This feature is so important; it could make the winning difference.
Tooth Whitening:
Although teeth are not naturally meant to be completely white, many Canadians want a brighter smile. Responding to this desire, a wide range of “whitening” options has become available to consumers. These products fall into two main categories: surface whiteners and bleaches.
