I love going here for my groceries but also as a mini date spot with my husband. I find it very clean and also an Asian grocery store that I didn't know was around. It's like it's a hidden pocket that you didn't know about. I just heard my friends talk about this place just on a name basis and I thought I'd take a visit. Definitely deserves the 5 stars. Plus the service all around is very good. Cashiers are friendly both on the hot food side and also the grocery side. Haven't explored the arcade aise or the little shops on the side yet but will definitely write an update when that happens.
Food is alright for the price. Tons of product fairly priced. The cafeteria is decent. Asian women that looks like she in her late 30s working in the deli is not well developed mentally and seems to be very "slow" I'm labelling her anything all I'm saying is that Nations is giving out opportunities to special needs people and I think that's fantastic.
Plenty of parking spaces for this unique grocery experience with children play area. Hot food section serves variety of foods ranging from Chinese to Canadian. They also have decent sushi and jerk chicken.
My first time here back in the summer 2021 and I really enjoyed shopping at Nations. This supermarket is so big, it even has a children’s playground. If you bring your kids, I guess they can kill some time at the playground with another parent to supervise of course while you get your shopping done. There are many stations categorized from Western Kitchen, Dim Sum, Hot Food, Produce, etc. Items are easy to find and I was able to find all the Japanese snacks that I wanted! All the produce here were fresh. Overall, I give 9/10 for the appearance and cleanliness of this supermarket. Not to mention, they also have a mini station catered to making banh mis. The banh mis were around $5 but it’s a good six inch banh mis and they fill it up with fresh ingredients. It’s probably one of the best banh mis I’ve had in Toronto. I highly recommend!
Wonderful variety of international and Asian supplies. Keep in mind if you were to purchase oysters, look at the dates! Most of them have been sitting there, fully expired and months past the best before date. Many times we brought it to their attention and request to remove them. notice in the same box a month later sitting on the shelf has made me want to share this post. Don’t hesitate to remind management of their duties to keep things safe and delicious to the public
This is a huge grocery store for all ethnic groups, hence the name "nations" They have a asian fast food table which has pretty good selection, but its greasy AF and they are kinda stingy with the portions given they just raised the prices too
May 2021 this large format Asian supermarket carries many items from produce, canned goods, meat, dairy, seafood, bakery and even cooked foods. A very good selection of products from Asian countries namely Vietnamese, Chinese, Mexican and to some degree Philippines. The aisles are a decent size and the parking is plenty. Located on the third floor. Some really good deals. Garden center opened outside during summer. A good supermarket to really loose yourself in. Once your inside, your very likely to pick something up.
Great shop with a huge variety of sauces and spices. The fruit and vegetable section is large enough, but other shops like Oceans in Brampton have more variety. The only time I came here the warm food counter looked rather large and delicious, but I was in a rush and couldn't stop to eat. The sauce selection was exactly what I was looking for. Super plentiful and a great variety.
It’s a decent Asian grocery store that combines grocery items from what you’d see in any grocery store with staple Asian ingredients and produce. I’m giving a bad review because the food court and bakery were atrocious. Granted, we were starving when we came here so the food all looked good to us, but now that I’m writing this with a clearer head, I should know better than to dine anywhere that has food from several cultures all in one spot. We got wings, jerk chicken, rice, and brussels and bacon, and with the exception of the jerk chicken it was all bad. It wasn’t really cheap either, so overall very disappointing experience. The bakery items we got were a lot worse. We bought a chocolate fudge cake as well as a small assortment of fruit cakes. All of it looked a LOT better than it tasted. I took a bite of the fudge cake thinking “this is NOT fudge, but it’s alright I guess.” I honestly could not eat anymore after the third or fourth bite, it was just so bad. And the fruit cakes? One bite of all three had me gagging. Ive had really good Asian cakes from bakeries in Chinatown, but this was all just bad. If I’m ever here again, I’ll just pick up some oyster sauce or something.
I remember this was the first store back at start of pandemic to enforce masking before it became mandatory, and they were the first to sell masks as well. This is my go-to spot for picking up vegetables and fruits. Sometime I also drop by the hot food section. Great store, well stocked, and plenty of options.
