With over 75,000 square feet of display space attached to a sprawling, 16-acre air park, plan to set aside a few hours to truly enjoy this aviation gem.Established in 1984, the NAFMC is dedicated to preserving and telling the history of Canadian military aviation. From its first flight on a frozen lake in Nova Scotia, through to today’s humanitarian relief missions, the Museum captures the spirit, the daring and the courage of the men and women of the RCAF. Absolutely impressive museum, showcasing the history of Canadian aviation. Make sure you set aside enough time for your visit. There are many beautifully disinged displays, some in comic-book narration style. The 'aircraft yard' is vast, with tens of flying machines on display. Definitely worth visiting.Visited onPublic holidayReservation recommendedNo
A must visit if you are passing by. Every exhibit is worth spending time on. Unfortunately, we arrived just an hour before closing time, so couldn't explore as much as we would have liked. Special thanks to the volunteer guide who enthusiastically narrated to us the history and the fine details of the main attraction - the Halifax bomber.
A great place for the whole family with enthusiastic guides and a great many things to see. I was stunned by the incredible array of vehicles on display. From WWI to Afghanistan, every Canadian mission is well represented. It's a great tribute to our proud aviation heritage.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Great place to visit, if you want to get a tinch of the World War II aviation history. It’s a good 1-2 hour drive from Toronto, but was worth it. The staff were knowledgeable and explained about different bombers that were exhibited.. They had activities for kids as well. Great collection of real war planes from the history!Visited onWeekendWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedNo
Very extensive but concise presentations of the Royal Air Force history and alliances during the war time real operational defence in strategies and tactics from pilots cadet programs. Hopefully I’ll bring my friends and family here, good education to the kids that interested in the Air Force or aviation industry. I will definitely come again for more events and outdoor tour particularly updating more women cadets in the modern roles in leadership.
Kids had a good time. Large space and lots to look at. 5 and under is free which is awesome. They had hand sanitizer around which was nice. Looking forward to visiting again in the summer when the outside is open.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
It's a great place to go for a few hours with the family or just yourself to see the history and enjoy some amazing aircrafts. Gift shop is a little pricey but to be expected. The cockpits you can sit in made my kids day. Worth it.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
If you are in Tenton you need to visit this museum! Many hands on exhibits for children, and for history buffs a great collection if artifacts and memorabilia. They have assembled a really good outdoor static aircraft display that is a fantastic snapshot of Canada's Air Force history.
I had an amazing experience observing details of aircrafts. The staff was very nice and the place was very clean. I took a moment of silence to remember all who served and lost their lives in wars and conflicts. I highly recommend visiting this place.Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Great museum however, came in with 45 minutes until closing and the woman at the front said "well you still have to pay", we never expected to not pay, awful thing to be met with on entry. Older gentleman was very nice, explaining some history of the planes as we wandered through. Museum is worth dealing with the rude lady.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
