About

Nathalie Mckenzie is a lawyer specialized in family litigation since 1999.

She also works as a family mediator and accepts mandates from the government.

Story

A member of the Quebec Bar Association since 1987, I began my career in corporate law at Bélanger Sauvé, an established Quebec-wide law firm. Deciding to devote more time to my family, I spent several years as a stay-at-home mother raising my son and two daughters, during which time I worked as a part-time consultant.

Upon my return to the field, I joined a family law firm and became an accredited Family Mediator in 2003. Over the last 15 years, I have made hundreds of Court appearances, have represented clients in Court, and have had the privilege of assisting many couples and families through the mediation process.

I'm the proud co-founder of McKenzie Letellier, a firm that has specialized in mediation and family law for nearly a decade.

My partner is a patient of Dr. Mackenzie’s, I cannot say enough wonderful things about this doctor. She is incredible. I only give 4 stars and not 5 because of her staff. My partner called for two weeks to get a medication refilled. No one called her back. When she finally got through on a Thursday she was promised it would be taken care of. Without this medication she gets VERY sick. Friday came and they still had not gotten the refill and never did. Leaving my partner sick all weekend. A two time cancer survivor. Dr. Mackenzie is amazing. But her front end staff dropped the ball and it’s unacceptable.
Dr. McKenzie saved my life and I'm very grateful to her. I had a 2 week hospital stay with a long surgery but Dr. McKenzie assure me before the surgery that I was in good hands and after the surgery she assured me as well. I can't thank her enough for the compassion and caring she showed to me during this big ordeal that I went through. Words aren't enough to express my gratitude to her. Thank you!
This was my mom's doctor and I only met her once. Since she was not my personal doctor I will not give less than 3 stars. My mom had cancer and was cared for by DR McKenzie. When my mom was first diagnosed, this dr seemed so hopeful and saying mom would be fine and live on to see her grandkids graduate. Well here we are a year and a half later and my mom is no longer with us. I know doctors are not God's and cannot predict the future .. my issue lies with when my mom started having really bad back pain back in mid to late 2021 or so and the doctor's - multiple ones I'm not sure who they all are but I'll find out to leave the same review for them--kept pushing her off with pain meds and muscle relaxants. I kept telling mom to get an MRI but she didnt advocate for herself. Why these doctors waited months after this to give the lady a MRI is beyond me. Metastatic cancer is a thing and being doctors the first thing should have been to check into it. Sure enough mom grew a mass and it perforated her bowel. After all she went thru with chemo etc., a infection due to this did her in .. all which could have been avoided with imaging early on. Because of my family dynamics, I found out via text message that my mother passed. I tried calling this dr for an update and she didn't even have the courtesy to call me back. I an aware of HIPAA,but a simple call back would have been appreciated. I do appreciate what this dr did do to help my mom. I wish there was a different outcome though. To whoever reads this, advocate for your health do not leave it all up to the doctor.
Absolutely incredible! Dr. McKenzie...what could i possibly say to you for saving my loved ones life?! All my words and gratitude couldn't come close to thanking you! For all the miracles you preform everyday and for the countless people you have blessed....may Gods blessing abound in everything you do because you have given soooo much hope to sooo many! Ty from the bottom of this veterans heart.
After my mom was diagnosed and put in limbo by another doctor we went to see Dr. McKenzie. She is a geniuly good person and someone who cares about her patients and will do her best to help them in their journey. My mom is now healthy and able to continue a full life because of her treatment. Thank you!
I cannot put into words how impressed I am with Dr. Nathalie McKenzie. She is a true professional and in my opinion one of the best in her field. Dr. McKenzie's bedside manner and expertise is second to none. Thank you Dr.for making my surgery a success.
Wish to continue my care with Dr. McKenzie, however her office staff have said they have no idea where she is.??? I do not find this a credible response.....will continue to look. Confidence in one' soul physician is important to patient care, it develops over time.
Every now and then you meet someone who is passionate about what they do. Dr. McKenzie is the best in her field and probably saved my wife's life. Thank you.
This Beautiful lady/Doctor is one of a kind...she probably saved my life. Before that day I met her in her office and she was so knowledgeable without the arrogance...what a rare and wonderful experience . Thank Dr McKenzie
I can only share what I actually experienced. Initial visit leading up to surgery my wait time was 15 minutes or less and there was great care. After surgery my wait time went to 1 1/2 to 3hrs. I was scheduled for RT consult just downstairs a week or so after surgery. The day before...I met with oncologist and was told I needed a RT consult i reminded them my appointment was already scheduled by them for that week. No one had noted the chart. Went to the consult but they had no records from oncologist who was just upstairs. I had to call oncologist and have records which radiologist should've had already to review a week prior sent down. I live about an 1 1/2 away not round trip I called with some concerns regarding RT looking for advice from the gyn oncologist. Nurse was pretty rude..maybe a bad day. A week later I had not heard back so I called again. This nurse..Lori was very professional and caring. The oncologist returned my call w/I a few minutes. I was expecting maybe after she was finished at work.....not before. Nonetheless I was immediately asked if she was interrupting my work...which I told her no it was not a problem. But I believe I interrupted hers because I was then told she had other people waiting in clinicals and if I needed more time that she would talk to me after work. Which would have been fine except I didnt have much of an opportunity to say that before she started explaining things to me which really were not the concerns I had. I needed a referral which I THINK i will get... My other concerns were pretty much redirected to the radiologist associated with them.....understandable. But in a nutshell I felt more PROCESSESED and DISMISSED than actually heard. I was on the phone with the doctor for less than two minutes. It made me reflect on the hours I patiently spent in the waiting room just to be seen for less than 10 minutes. I WELL understand the case loads that physicians have and the amount of work it's the nature of the beast in professions like this. But when you get a serious life threatening diagnosis......a patient will have questions and concerns that will arise. Please dont make them feel like you are in too big of a rush to actually hear them or feel bothered by them. If you dont have time to speak with them then wait until you do have the time. When you call patients back .....review there chart just a little so you dont ask the same question 5TIMES if they did a consult each time you meet or interact by looking at the chart....you would know. Who brought this altogether for me and made me feel like a person and not part of a process was the nurse Lori. She was simply amazing as to how she helped and addressed issues that she could. We need more like her. A doctor is only as good as their staff.
