I must say that I really enjoyed food here. Every dish I ordered on this night was incredibly. No wonder why this restaurant has so many good reviews. If you haven’t tried food here then I highly recommend trying it. Once you try them, you will want to come back. The chef really put a lot of thoughts in the ingredients and I’m amazed how he was able to balance all these ingredients into a wonderland taste in my mouth. I loved it
Delicious was the overwhelming comment on the food. Fifteen people were seated cozily together near the front window. It is not a huge restaurant but they were able to accommodate us well. Food came out piping hot and was very tastefully plated. All were happy with their meals, some had shared appetizers with their meals as they just wanted to try so many things. Though it has been around a few years now it is one you may not even notice from outside. Glad we found it as it was lovely.
Great food the quality here is incredible. They take ordinary things like Brussels sprouts and make them phenomenal. The bao are fantastic, steak is awesome. Sushi is full of flavour and looks like art. Not one complaint. Try it.
Really enjoyed the food, ambiance, and service. Inspired by Asian roots, this is a modern Asian fusion restaurant with a twist of western cuisine. I ordered the ramen and steamed baos which were both very unique and flavourful in taste - try it! Will definitely come back to try out the rest of the meals on the menu.
Two friends and I came by to check Namu out given the good reviews and beautiful photos. Our expectations were exceeded from service to food! Keeping it short, if you're in the area, or even relatively nearby, make your way to try it out!
An incredibly cozy little restaurant/bar serving Korean fusion cuisine. The mood is very intimate yet lively and the owners/employees are warm and welcoming people who will go out of their way to treat you in a most stellar fashion. We enjoyed a sushi taco appetizer which exuded a satisfying duality of having a lightly crunchy yet creamy texture. The miso black-cod was prepared extremely delicately while being seasoned to perfection and the accompanying vegetables were cooked to a beautiful, lightly charred texture. The chicken katsu curry, despite being made from breast, was almost inexplicably juicy to the point of making me wonder if it was actually thigh meat. A true treasure of its neighbourhood, perfectly tucked away at the edge of town for it would be inaccesibly busy/popular if it were downtown. -
Overall the food and experience is good but not necessarily authentic Asian. I would say it's inspired by Asian roots. We got the Canadian salmon sushi roll to start and that was fantastic in every way. For my main I ordered the galbi gnocchi which from reading it I had incorrectly assumed it would lean towards Korean flavors but it was essentially an Italian braised short rib gnocchi. I would recommend they rename the dish as I would not recommend it to someone craving Galbi. Food is pricey compared to the portions but there is a lot of effort put into each dish. Service was okay with our starter coming out quickly but the couple we were with didn't get theirs for a long time and once they got their our mains came out right after.
This restaurant is an absolute gem. Every item on the menu is delicious and crave worthy. Try the Korean BBQ Ssam and you’ll rave about this place to your friends.
Seeing how the Googles said it was good, we came by for a taste. Ordered the black bean noodles, octopus leg and seafood udon noodle. The good: Noodles and ingredients are good, flavorful and fresh. Like the black bean noodles more. Nice, cozy atmosphere in quiet Dundas. Octopus leg was tasty, if overcooked a bit. The not so good: Excessive oil use in the noodles. We felt a little queasy afterwards, but it might be because we are on oil free diet. Pricey, oh the prices. 2 bowls of noodles, 1 beer, 1 appetizer is just under 100$. Didn't have Asahi. Had to settle for Tiger. Overall a nice place to visit for dinner, if pricey.
Intimate spot for high quality asian and fusion dishes crafted with care. Food is on the pricer end, but service is top notch. Would recommend the Korean fried chicken app, the chicken was juicy and had the perfect thin coating of a sugared and tangy glaze with a slight kick. The short rib gnocchi was delicious and very rich. It had huge chunks of tender melt-in-your-mouth beef, and the gnocchi was pillowy. The breadcrumb topping also gave it a nice crunchy element. The sushi roll was good, but was honestly just a sushi roll that I could have gotten at any Japanese restaurant for a lot cheaper. The pork belly bao was also decent with a extra thick slab of meat, but I felt it could have used some more sauce or something to cut the richness of the pork belly.
