Second best Indian resto in Quebec for me. Very cozy. Nice ambiance. Owners are very friendly. The gravy are very rich in Indian flavours. The lamb madrasi is Quite spicy works for me and the cheese naan is awesome. Fish pakora gluten free is good as well. Service is good. Have parking spots. A little more pricycompared to a Montreal restaurant but it’s worth the quality of food.
What a beautiful experience, Indian fine cuisine. I usually go to Montreal to eat Indian food, but now I can have here in St-Jean and I must admit it was the finest Indian food I ate in my life. I must come again. The personal is kind and helpful oh I forgot.... The nann bread, totally made there and the tenderness is unreal, must try. He offered to come and see his special oven but I was so overwhelmed with the taste of the meal that I forgot. But next time I will take him on the offer. I highly recommend
Hands down, the best Indian restaurant that I've ever tried on the South Shore. Chicken Tikka Masala is a must! And Beef Vindaloo was a bit too spicy for me, but my dad who loves spicy food was wowed by it! I'll definitely be back. The naan breads are very big and delicious too. Great job guys! I'll be back soon!
Glad to see a new Indian restaurant in St-Jean. For positives, the food was well cooked and quite tender. The service was good and courteous. On the negative side, the flavor seemed way offnot Indian and quite bland. The butter chicken sauce didn't taste as you would expect and was very bland and lacked spiciness. Also the owner kept pulling down his mask to speak to you which kind of defeats the purpose.
So far we've had 3 "good" Indian restaurant in this town and all 3 had their own pros and cons. This one is still part of the good ones even though I'm leaving 3 stars. Let me break this down. 5 star we ordered pickup -1 star: food was cold even though we came for the pickup 20 min before the time we said we'd be there so the food was probably already on the counter for a while -1 star: compared to other Indian restaurant we've ordered from before we easely had 1/3 less food for the same price. Were down at 3 stars... Because these issues were very visible we paid around the same prices we paid the others reasonable amount they are priced competitively, their food is good no mistake there and the service when I picked it up was good and the employee was really nice to me. But it dawned on us imidiately after opening it that we'd have to heat up the whole thing and as we ate we determined that we easely had less food than from other offering. Are they good? Yes. Are they priced good? Yes. Was the amount of food satisfactory? No. Should I have to heat up my food? No. Would I go back? Not sure.
Very disappointed about this new restaurant in St Jean. I ordered samosas and it was really blend and frozen , felt like it was made like 1 month ago. No social distance between staffs or clients. The owner tried to flirt with my girlfriend when i was in the restaurant on a date. They don’t wear face mask & have bad breath. Was very hard for me to breath and eat. Never again , avoid this dirty place , better indian restaurant in old port like Gandhi. Avoid this place.
Was excited to finally see an Indian restaurant in St-Jean but I was disappointed by the flavour of the butter chicken. It was extremely bland and super sweet, definitely not authentic flavour but made for the palate of white people. Also 18.95$ for 8 bites of butter chicken seems quite expensive. The Naan, samosas and rice were great tho so they redeemed themselves with that. The assorted appetizers tasted all pretty great but once again 9.95 for 1 samosa, 1 very small onion bhaji, 1 small piece of pakora chicken and 3 small bites of chicken tikka seems steep.
Would highly recommend ! Fresh food with authentic taste. So happy to have found real Indian food on the south shore of MTL. The place is well kept & clean and the owner is super nice. Would go back anytime !
Excellent food & service! Lovely place, it offer great selection, combo, dine-in, take-out, delivery . Very good price for food and wine. I recommend it.
The food was blend and overpriced. The service was very slow even though it wasn’t busy. Very disappointed by the workers pulling down their masks to speak to me... I don’t recommend.
