A very peaceful place to go. Lots of places to go hiking and so many spots for camping, which has some outhouses around. The water is so clean and emerald green. If you plan going kaiaking or something similar, be careful with the strength of the water in some places. In general, it's a really enjoyable and awesome place.
Beautiful lake and campgrounds. Only outhouses no other facilities. The fsr can be a bit bumpy so take your time and please pack out your trash! We saw a grizzly in the area so be smart.
Amazing valley. I'm glad this area is being protected by a provincial park.
The road in is a little rough. Anywhere off the main you'll need some decent clearance under your vehicle and some nerves.
The scenery was great however you could smell the outhouses from every campsite. It was pretty nasty. 10 out of 10 do not recommend. I'd rather outlaw camp on the side of the road than smell the facilities while I'm trying to enjoy the day.
Almost worth giving it one star so fewer people go, but that’s not fair. Wonderful place. We found it clean, quiet, and very scenic. Dusty road yes, bumpy yes, a little risky because of bears? Yes, but worth it. Clean up after yourself and store food properly.
Beautiful and quiet and very safe
You need to go there in order to appreciate it , words just don't do it .
Small valley with lakes and Connecting rivers. Very populated. One road in and out with some side roads.
Although the lake and views are beautiful, I was quite frustrated that the campsites are now taking reservations although it says "first come, first serve" online. We saw a lot of reservation postings. And one group encouraged us to take a site that was reserved from Wednesday to Friday since it was late Thursday evening we did and then they showed up after 9pm wanting the site. Expecting us to take down our camping gear in the dark and hope to find something else. I see from another posting that it also happened that sites were reserved and then the parties don't show up for their reservation dates which means other campers miss out because they aren't a friend of or related to someone who works there, such as the Parks Operator- Shawna Campbell. Not to mention, at a hotel if you don't show up on your reservation date they give your room to someone else. To have to set up camp twice when we had shown up on a Thursday to beat the weekend rush was challenging. We were lucky and could find another site and didn't have to go home defeated but I just wanted to post this as a warning as there are not a lot of sites to begin with and quite a few had reservation signs posted and some of the dates posted were incorrect which could add a whole other level of issues. Also the outhouses were sub-par and there was no one selling firewood so thankfully we brought some in ourselves.
