Mai has been my hair stylist for at least 20 years! I go to Mai for cut and colour usually balayage and the time and dedication she puts into her work is unmatched. I leave my hair up to her! I trust her completely with adhering to my vision and/or I also trust her opinion on what will suit me best. Mai is incredibly warm and inviting, and I look forward to the next 20 years! I’ve been seeing Mai now for 18 years and there is a reason why I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. She is well educated with anything that has to do with hair especially blonde! She is so talented and it truly shows in her work. She not only will give you the results you want but doesn’t compromise the health of your hair. I have been going to Mai for a few years now, in between I went to a couple of other hairstylists, but regretted it and now I know I can’t trust anyone else other than Mai. What I love about Mai’s work is that I can get the blonde I want without compromising my hair…!!!! My hair was so damaged by another hairstylist to the point that I wanted to shave my head. But thank goodness, Mai rescued my hair! And I have long hair and am very picky about haircuts. I have fine hair but want to have lots of volume, which can be hard to achieve... She layers my hair in a way that makes my hair look full and voluminous. I don’t say this lightly…. But she is the best in the city. I’ve been going to Mai for years and she’s THE best. Super sweet and friendly and so very very talented. I would not let anyone else cut or colour my hair. I always thought growing up that it was normal to get a cut or colour and have to wait a month or so for the cut or colour to grow on you. Clearly I was wrong. I was just not getting my hair done by Mai. Now when I get a cut or colour from Mai, I love it the second she’s done. I continue to love it until my next appointment with her. My 6 year old twins girls only go her as well and always want to go back to visit her and get a new style. She’s the only one I will ever trust with my hair and my girls’ hair. Mai did magic with my hair. She is the only hairstylist that could color my hair into platinum blond without damaging it. On top of that, the color didn't go away/faded/got yellow not even after MORE than a year. I moved out of Canada and unfortunately, I can no longer go to Mai as I live way too far away, and only now I have realized what I lost. I had no choice but to go to someone else for hair coloring the best in town they say but the person couldn't achieve the color that I want and not to mention how damaged my hair is now. So if you are looking for a spectacular hair color without damaging it and spend around 4-6 hours for this process with an amazing person, call for Mai. I have been seeing Mai for balayage since about 2015. I had made the mistake of seeing someone else for a different look; to my dismay, I had to go back to Mai for a correction in less than a month’s time from going to the other salon. Not only did she carefully pull out the uneven pieces from my full head of highlights, she did a reverse ombré to fix the root shadow. She is an absolute hair god!!
