So glad I found this place. Just stopped in for a quick snack. Their chocolate chip cookies are absolutely the best that I have ever had! The soft, chewing texture is awesome and taste of almond is extra special. The service was great. The owners are super friendly. Highly recommend. I read the 5-star reviews about their breads, bagels and pretzels. Can't wait to try more.
Their delicious and fresh challah is a great addition to your Shabbat dinner table, or for french toast leftovers the next morning both traditional long braid and round braid loaves are available. Their pretzels are also very good!
We really enjoy all the fantastic treats and baking - look forward to it every time we're in Victoria. The people are super friendly, personable, and professional, and it's so nice to have delivery as well. My new favourite treat is the lemon poppyseed cookies... just perfect! Everything is so fresh and tasty - much recommend.
This place has set my standard for bagels no more Country Harvest for me. Toss them in the toaster on medium heat, slap some cream-cheese on there, and you've got yourself one heck of a snack. I'm also quite addicted to the Chall-nuts Challah Donuts.
This place used to have the best bakery ever, but with the new owner the food is horrible right now and no more pretzel or beagles. They kept all the old good reviews and the name from the old owner. Don't waste your money there.
Excited for there to be a kosher bakery in Victoria. The Challah is a great addition to my Fridays nights. I am a big fan all of the treats they have but the pretzels are still my favourite. They recently launched a sandwich menu and i can confirm that the “ALT” Avocado Lettuce Tomato is very good. Get the in-house cream cheese it’s vegan!
Great little bakery tucked away in the back corner of the Public Market at the Hudson. Everything is made with love and attention and very reasonably priced. Also one of the few places in Victoria you can order a lox bagel. The pretzels are also fantastic in taste, texture and quality. Check them out if you’re in the area!
I discovered Markus and his kosher delights just this summer; and remember when he was cycling the city selling from his bicycle. The 2 for $5.00 Rugelach has become a morning favourite paired with next door’s 2% jazz.
I had an egg and cream cheese bagel with coffee and it was delicious! The public market has lots of seating and is usually fairly quiet, which is a plus for me. The bagels and pretzels and fantastic and they have multiple options available. It’s great to support a locally owned business that pays a living wage.
Dairy-free bakery that DELIVERS to Langford!! Had the cream filled challpuff today ... AMAZING !! Next up ... the chall-nut jelly filled challah donut! Yummy !!
