I have bought coffee from this little cozy place few times. Such a gem and unique. Coffee was amazing and staff are lovely. They have recommended me to try different things which I loved. Newmarket is lucky to have such a great local roaster and business owner. Highly recommend your visit their store if you live in the area or driving through!
My job is required to traveling around different cities and usually when I slow down I will search for a local coffee roasters. It happened when I was in Newmarket and came across this small & closey place. The owner is nice and recommend some of their beans based on my taste buds. Happy with the coffee and will come back for sure when I am back in the area.

I've only bought coffee twice from this little roastery, but totally enjoyed the brews. The owner is friendly and helpful with recommendations when you need them. Highly recommended if you're looking for something not mass marketed.
Truly the best beans around!! My indie welcomes everyone to the world of excellent coffee!! Meg and the entire team are so gracious & kind. Don’t even get me started on the cold brew concentrate- a summertime staple - I want it in my veins lol
AMAZING COFFEE, AMAZING STAFF, AMAZING OWNER!!! Everything is so fresh, as they roast in house. I have occasionally bought beans from the grocery store in a pinch, and massively regret it everytime. This coffee, paired with my espresso machine replaced my old habit of expensive espresso drinks from cafes. Now I save money, and have a better product at home. My favourite beans for the espresso machine are Guatemalan, and Ugandan beans. Try My Indie Coffee Roasters, you won't be disappointed.
There is many worldly coffee varieties to experience here. All of the coffee beans are roasted on site! There is many different sizes of coffee bags to choose from also. From the first time my fiancé and I purchased coffee at Indie Coffee Roasters we have always experienced knowledgeable personnel and a cheery atmosphere. You can purchase coffees,cappuccinos, expresso’s on site or bring home your own personal stash. Whichever is your preference you will not be disappointed!
As a regular customer I am always disappointed. I’ve been shorted twice on the weight of coffee beans then argued about how many grams are in a lb the price menu is never the same as the actual charge on at least two types of beans. Today I was in the process of buying beans when, after the attendant took my order and proceeded to weigh it, another patron came in. I thought she had the order ready when much to my surprise she abandoned my order to come back to the front to make the just arrived person 2 Cappuccino’s Then goes back to finish mine
Best beans in the GTA. I have tried a number of roasters in the GTA, and while the some of them were good I was always working against the freshness clock. You can’t beat My Indie Coffee freshness. On a weekly subscription I receive beans roasted a maximum of 4 days prior to delivery and sometimes the day before delivery. The espresso blend is my go-to. When dialed in it offers great balance and works really well in milk drinks. Nice to know all their beans are organic and ethically sourced. Service has been great. Meagan, the owner, is quick to respond and accommodating.
So glad to have found this local roaster. My first bag has been delicious and I am looking forward to trying other varieties!
