Being a carb person that loves anything bread. I've never really been a fan of Bagels cause they are like giant dough balls.... Then I had a my Hubby's bagel and my word!!! It's like the skies opened up and a halo formed. Light fluffy and so much flavor. Now if you don't get there fast they sell out cause the Bagels are amazing. The entire staff is warm happy and wonderful. Ben and Drew are simply the best Run don't walk... get there early and enjoy
Love this adorable shop and their delicious bagels and baked goods! Stopped in for a breakfast bagel and was so happy with the light, airy, tasty bagels and the friendly service. Definitely a must stop in Nanaimo!
We decided to try My Hubby's Bagel because everyone seemed to be raving about it and the bagels looked delicious! We were so glad we did!!! Awesome customer service I missed the email that my bagels were ready, but they made sure to get a hold of me so I didn't miss out on my order! And the presentation was awesome. When I brought the bagels home, I felt like I should do a YouTube unboxing video. And then the bagels themselves were amazing!! Personally, I find they taste like a cross between a croissant and a bagel with a little touch of heaven. Truly delicious! We are now hooked.
Mostly good with one gross draw back.. My girlfriend lives in Nanaimo and she pointed me to this small, hidden in the corner place a few weeks ago and let me tell you, what a great local discovery. If you like soft fluffy bagels with a chewy crust this is the place. And the flavours...the flavour offerings from this place are plentiful and will take more than a few visits to try them all. Speaking of which.. On my first visit I picked up a salted pretzel which are my new favourite things, 2 Cinnamon raisin bagels and an everything bagel. A pretty safe bet for anyone really and they all tasted great. On my second visit on Sunday July 10th I picked up 2 Cinnamon knots, a Pumpernickel bagel and a pizza pretzel... unfortunately they did not have the normal salted pretzel which made me sad. I ended up giving my co-worker one of the cinnamon knots which he loved and will now make a stop over on his next trip to Nanaimo. I truly love these offerings from this business and it's wonderful to see a small business seemingly thriving in this time. However, there is one draw back that I tried to ignore. That problem was that on both trips there was a fly sitting on and walking/flying to and from products that are in the front cabinet of all the baked goods. I specifically chose products away from said fly and products that I did not see it land on. So, my next time in if I see a fly again that'll likely be it for this guy because when you know what flies do when they land...
Got to go there for the first time today-what a friendly place-we bought bagels for the week-we took 2 kinds of cream cheese home and the bacon chive one is the best cream cheese I have ever had!Lots of kinds of bagels and cream cheeses-if you haven’t gone yet,swing by-very yummy!!
Literally some of the best bagels I have ever had, and I was recently in New York. I traveled from Nashville to get some. If you are anywhere nearby go get some!
The picture speaks for itself Go try it, quit looking at reviews questioning whether to buy some. It's worth it Their bagels are all 2$ or 2.25$ so VERY affordable. Online ordering system is very simple. You gotta order quick when they restock though! Pick up was very quick and at an easy location to find curling rink You CANNOT go wrong ordering from these guys The bagels pictured are everything, cinnamon raisin, chocolate chip, and jalapeño cheddar!
So delicious I had to post a review right away! I had the cheese and scallion bagel with the scallion and bacon cream cheese and it was to die for! Thank you for making this pregnant and hungry person happy! I can’t wait to come back and try something else!
Honestly really disappointed. I seldom find the need to write reviews but I do feel that this feedback is warranted for customers and owners alike. We came by one hour before closing and the staff member was first off unwelcoming, she was clearly shocked / annoyed to see customers come in. We looked at the bagels and to our surprise, she said that our only option is to take cold bagels and a tub of cream cheese to go. I would say that the 2 o’clock closing time is misleading and disappointing since you actually can’t get a bagel here after 1? I really hope they will be donating all of the bagels that were remaining assuming they won’t be selling old bagels tomorrow. This place won’t be here for long with that work ethic.
Went there with my partner to grab a few bagels for myself and her family. While I was there, I also picked up a small bag of their coffee. All the bagels we tried were delightful and the coffee was the same. Definitely will be coming back!
