The Museum of the Rockies has wonderful paleontology and historical displays. The traveling displays are world class. Their planetarium is a must if you visit. They have redone their gift shop which now has a nice selection of quality Made in Montana products.
Closes early, but wonderful drive to the Museum. Very close to Montana State College
Pretty cool place. My family really found it fascinating. However the only downside was that we weren't able to go to the planetarium because we missed it by a couple minutes but maybe next time.
Great natural history museum with a focus on paleontology. There's also part of the museum dedicated to native peoples and early 1800-1900s history. Lots of the dinosaur bones discovered in Montana are on display. Tickets can be purchased in advance online.
This is an amazing museum for young and old. The best dinosaur exhibit I have ever seen. Also the traveling exhibition of the wildlife photographer was breathtaking. The imax movies are included. I will be back...
