Muscatine Mall

This mall used to be fabulous. It has undergone a depression losing one anchor store after another. There is little, if any mall promotion of the mall itself or individual retailers (of which there are few) to sustain or encourage consumers to visit. It has changed ownership multiple times, suffered from maintenance issues and forced locals to shop other places. No more "I'll just run to the mall and get that." Younkers does a reasonable business but I wonder how the other stores facing the parking lot survive. The interior stores have not.

Not much to see here but there is an awesome boutique in there called The Hanger, the owner is a super sweet lady.

Not a good place like it used to be.. not enough store in it to do anything. They won't fix the roof that leaks or any thing like that.

It's a pretty mall which is struggling to stay alive. There are great stores and food eateries still open. Great place to do some mall walking.

Sad. I miss it when it was vibrant in the 80's and 90's. Muscatine is big enough to support a real mall, I wish they would revive the space.
