the digital pay parking discriminates against elderly who dont know how to use smart phones, and against people who dont have internet on their phone. i wasted alot of time trying to pay for $3 in parking. in addition, the parking app automatically takes out $10 whether you use it or not.
Your new high-tech parking payment system is an uber failure. I can't pay with my regular payment method. Watched many people struggle with it and just give up. Wow, Jasper, fail. I'm supposed to walk to your office to pay? Ridiculous. Nice way to help businesses on main streets NOT. Very disappointed
Got more tickets in 2 days in Jasper than the rest of my 21 years of driving combined. One was for being legally parked but having a dead battery and waiting for my friend to wake up to come boost me, which makes me "parking for the purpose of accommodation" which is fine, I was gonna spend a few more days and likely a few hundred more dollars here, but not anymore. That $65 is the last money this town will EVER get from me, and I hope this review highlights the petty municipal policies and keeps others from spending money here too. Also, the views may have been nice one day, but it looks like 90% of the trees visible from the town are dead from pine beetle, every mountainside is now a sea of red instead of Evergreen I imagine in a few years the mountains will be bare skeletons. Sad
Do not pull over to sleep here if you are tired. Just keep driving. The municipality of jasper will pretend you have been there for days and write you a $65 ticket. Very unfortunate that they choose to scam travelers passing through...
