It was okay, note that if you are planning to save a good seat and enjoy the view, be there early during holidays or long weekends as there are a lot of tourists. The crews are friendly and welcoming.
I took my Church youth group on the boat as part of our study on creation, this was a great experience for them as we floated along seeing some amazing scenery and experiencing God's handiwork. Great facility very clean and reasonable pricing for lunch!
This was my second time aboard the the MS Kenora and while I would have loved for the weather to cooperate and have sunny skies, the ride did not disappoint. The staff were so kind and so friendly. The prices for drinks are affordable and reasonable. Great views. Definitely recommended!
Such a great time. If you like history this is the cruise for you. Super friendly staff that actually can hold a conversation. Drinks are reasonably priced and the cruise is just long enough.... Bathrooms and you can even smoke on the poop deck...least that's what I called it. Great time had for sure. It's worth the 30+ per person.
It was a great time for me and my family. Even though it was a little dreary outside the local folk lore and stories told by the captain pre-recorded kept us entertained. The food looked amazing and reasonably priced. The one draw back keeping this review from getting 5 starts is the lower deck and out side chairs. Both items are old or at least appear to be old and well weathered. If the boat had been full and we were forced to sit in the lower deck I wouldn't be writing a warm review. The outside seats were plentiful but very sun faded and rough looking. Two small detractors from an otherwise entertaining boat ride.
Always a nice cruise. Couldn't hear the tour guide/recording on the upper deck, very little to no shade on hot days
Great experience. I think it's a "must do" when visiting Kenora. Lots of interesting information during the excursion, from the tour guide although the volume was very low at some parts. The food if you go for the diner was tasty, portions were big and the service was nice. Worth the money for two full hours. Welcoming and friendly staff aboard the ship.
We have taken this cruise several times over the last few years. It's enjoyable every time. If the weather is good you can go on the top deck for the best view. If it's rainy or cool, you can remain inside in comfort and watch from the large windows. We usually reserve a meal when we take the cruise. The food has always been good. The captain gives a running commentary of the history and the names of some of the famous current and past residents of some of the many islands on the lake. Kenora is a fun getaway spot from the city and this cruise has always been a big part of the experience for us.
