"In 1994, Mrakovic family fled the wars of the Balkan region and moved to Canada; calling this country home for the last 26 years. We started this business selling smoked beef goods from our little apartment with a recipe that has been in the family for generations.We opened the Mrakovic Meat & Deli location in Toronto in 2003, which consisted of a butcher shop, grocery store and bakery all in one. Over the years we expanded within the building by adding a grill and seating area. A delightful Balkan centered deli and food store. The hot prepared food is delicious and the shelves are filled with ethnic packaged products that, no doubt, are staples "back home". Their fresh bread is excellent and I always stock up on jars of stuffed peppers, and different pickles and relishes. The store is busy and crowded at times but the plentiful staff are helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly. Their deli meats are delicious and some cuts are not that common. Parking is plentiful, including a handicap spot. I recommend for an interesting ethnic deli to explore and enjoy on a fun outing.
Best in town for all Balkan food/ snack and meats. They have the best on the go Cevapis and boxed frozen cevapis and pljeskavica and the best Kajmak. Highly recommend

The burgers taste alright but just the packaging will make me never buy them again. Got a package of 6 burgers and had to defrost all of them just to separate 1 from the stack. Unbelievable. There are much better halal choices that taste better and are much easier to separate.
Hidden Gem in the middle of nowhere. I'm going to post the picture I forget the name of these but they are the best for the barbecue absolutely delicious.
If you haven’t tried the chevapi here… you simply need to! The food is seriously delicious and the employees super helpful. Def a hidden gem!

When it comes to Balkans, Mrakovic is without a doubt the most amazing meat, grocery, bakery and take-out restaurant in town. It is a Balkanian superstore in a small little store hidden in the middle of a residential neighborhood. A great grocery, deli and meat store if you crave Eastern Europe style food. The service is friendly-with a bit of language barrier- and the price quite reasonable. The hardest thing is to drive to this store, you may need to use Google Map, but once you arrive, you won't regret it because you just entered a little Eastern European heaven where all your food related cravings from burek, to good lamb or amazing tasty smoked meats, to good ol pita or the good home-made kofte will wait for ya! Want pastry? You got it baby! There small bakery sections if filled with special cookies. You can also find grilled veal here! I got some kaymak as well! It was good!
