Our full service facility, includes three chapels, two reception areas, our own on-site cremation chambers and 120 developed acres of beautiful cemetery grounds.

Story

Mountain View Funeral Home & Memorial Park has been part of life for the people of Tacoma for nearly 100 years. Our gardens are filled with fine flora and fauna, 181 different varieties of trees, 575 rhododendrons, a prize winning rose garden in addition to many varieties of birds and wildlife.

Mission

The goal of our Bereavement Services is that people hurt by the death of a loved one
will receive effective support as they endure the challenges of grief
and adjust to living without the person who died.

I would really like to add on to my sister's (Leenna Lara) post. I feel that all the employees we worked with went out of their way to make us feel supported and understood. Our mother's passing was very difficult for us and everything seemed overwhelming. The employees took their time to go thru everything with us in detail and made sure all of six of us siblings were included. They answered all our questions we had and tried to accommodate all of our requests. Special thanks to Rico, one of the funeral directors, for helping us make -our mother's funeral a memorable one. i really appreciate all the hard work you guys put into her service.

I wanted to take a moment to thank Katrina Jacobson for helping my family and myself get through one of the most difficult things I have ever had to deal with, saying good bye to My Father, My Hero! Katrina's gentle, compassionate demeanor made this heart wrenching process a bit more bearable. I thank her for her kind words and all the help she provided us. I am still in AWE! When my mother-in-law passed, I knew there was absolutely NO WAY we could possibly have an open casket. Cancer had certainly taken it's toll on her! However, my brother-in-law (Monty Birge) and former Mt View employee told me to wait and see. WOW, what a shock! He was so right and mom looked like her old self just laying there so peaceful and beautiful! And the compassion and heartfelt support from the staff did not stop there. Everyone at Mt View were so incredibly supportive, kind and helped us all with our grief. Mountain View Family, I apologize, I cannot call out specific names because there were so many of you and you were all fabulous! If I could give you 10 stars I would. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. ~Marti May-Birge

Very professional, accomodating, clean, and sincere. Staff is friendly, courteous. Local business with friendly atmosphere.
