Mount View Cemetery

Haven't buried anyone there. But it's a nice place to go and wander around. The really old stones are cool to see. No lighting at night, so spooky.

This is such a weird review to write, but here I am... I just moved to Cambridge and I have family members residing here. The place is so large that I had no idea where to start to find them. After wandering around for a bit I came across one of the groundskeepers (all of them are in their 20s seemingly) who brought me to his managers office. She was so kind and took about 20 minutes out of her day to search on the computer and in their files for where my family was located. She even jumped in the van and guided us in the right direction, AND sat with us so we could tell her all about them.

I have been going to this cemetery since I was a kid. I have many friends and family members buried here. It is a big cemetery but I have been in a lot bigger ones in the larger cities. Like any cemetery it is not always easy to get in touch with someone that works here, whether it be the front office or the city. Being a family history person, lots of times you just have to get out and do things the old way and walk through the cemetery yourself and start looking at the stones.
