We have been in our newly built home for nearly a year now . It took approximately 1 year to build our home from start to finuah but it was worth the wait. Sudip at the Walker Summit show home was always eager and available to answer our concerns every step of the way The building process was fun and easy, we loved choosing exactly what we wanted in the home. Brenna was an amazing designer to work with in helping design our home and lightning fast at responding to emails. Fast forward a year after moving in , Rosie in warranty is easy to contact and quick to respond as well. We have had only very very minor things to be fixedcloset door gaps , etc but they are always quick to come and take a look and resolve any issues . Would recommend Morrison to anyone looking to build their dream home.
I hope this review can save at least one person from this builder. On my street, there are 3 Morrison Homes customers, who are just completely distraught with the service they have received. This includes myself. We all have water issues in our basements, cold bedrooms and ruined driveways. It is odd because our 3 driveways are the only ones on our street that are ruined. They came out to “inspect” the driveways and pointed at a neighbor and said “look they sealed their driveway and that’s why it’s not damaged”. When In fact, that driveway they pointed at was NOT sealed I confirmed with the neighbor living there. They refuse to fix our cold bedrooms now. They sent an automatic email to all 3 of us just saying we should reach out to the Alberta Home Warranty Program. Please save yourself the headaches of dealing with a poor builder like this. I highly recommend to go somewhere else and hope you get good service there! It’s definitely not here. Good luck everyone!
Absolutely the worst builders I have ever used. They refuse to do anything to fix what is broken. I cannot list the amount of things that are broken within the first few months to now 2 years. No one ever actually wants to fix anything nor have I had a good interaction with anyone from this company specifically Rosie the warranty rep from Edmonton. Please if you are considering buying, let me know. I will happily show you my house so you can see what happens after a few years when their “warranty” is run out. Even with the warranty in place NOTHING was addressed nor were they fixed.
We moved into this house two years ago and we’ve been having problems since day ONE. From granite counters to drywalls things are falling apart and some are safety hazards. The bizarre things is that nobody seems to care after they finish the sale. We kept inquiring through email and phone calls to Edmonton warranty Rosie but she just blames the builder. what am I supposed to do with that? Buying a house isn’t like buying a toy. It is our hard earned money and this company gives no value to their customers. They don’t take responsibility or resolve anything. They are definitely not trustworthy. Therefore, if anyone is interested in more details about this situation, please feel free to contact me. I could take my time to write an essay about all the things that goes wrong every-month or two due to no fault of ours but it would just be a waste of my time since Morrison’s don’t care.
So I got to break this down into a few parts. Sales department 7/10, they definitely will push for a impulse buy. Take your time. House quality 8/10 Overall, its a good house, we did have some issues with our furnace/humidifier being on at 100% all the time. They did fix that but did not credit us for the extra 10 m3 of water it used per month. As well there was some water damage that was repaired with very poor quality, which i will have to fix myself. The roof had a leak, which we took pictures of, they rep that came out did not even want to go in the attic. So we've just documented it and i'll go up there in the spring. Overall happy with the purchase, but you definitely need to watch them/hound them a bit.
