The food is definitely southern style down to the barbecue sauce. The meat is always tender and juicy. We got the lunch special prime rib sub with Au Jus dipping soup. You have a choice of one side dish from coleslaw, ranch beans,Texas style beans, corn bread. They provide our table with hot barbecue sauce and regular barbecue sauce in a squeeze bottle. What makes this establishment one of a kind is that they smoke their meats in house. They have two southern styled smokers out in the dining room. The atmosphere was definitely ranch style comfort, food was incredibly filling. For two people your going to spend around $35-40. Worth the price if you ask me. The table and chairs were clean. The bathroom was clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody who loves smoked barbecue food because it’s fresh, hot and keeps you full for hours. Everyone I seen inside was happy to be here.
It's a fun little place. The food was quite tasty! Maybe 4 stars isn't fair, but I had just recently had Texas Barbaque in Texas so I it's up against tough competition. The restaurant's got two big wood fire smoker ovens right there, so that's fun and it's got some great rustic decor and fun signs. Wish it was a hair cheaper, but it is in Washington and not Texas so there's that. I'm not at all saying to not go! By all means GO and ENJOY! It's still good barbaque and brought me happiness! We also just beat a big lineup so . Kid-friendliness: Brought my 2 year old along stopped during a road trip and she had a foot time there and enjoyed the pulled pork and cornbread. Staff were very nice and accommodating. Parking: Part of a strip mall so there was plenty of mall parking Wheelchair accessibility: Flat entrance, no stairs, easy access. Bring all your wheelchair addorned meataterians!
We were in the area and wanted a snack. SO looked this place up. We agreed that it looked pretty promising. And it was indeed! We ordered the Sample Three Meat Dinner with pulled pork, ribs and brisket. It came with two sides so we picked the chicken corn chowder and potato salad. To say everything tasted amazing was an understatement. Man that was so good that we actually ordered a quart size chicken corn chowder home with our well stuffed bellies. Moose Creek offers a super hot sauce and a mild one. Both are amazing. The super hot one is super hot but still enjoyable. They also have a very intriguing selections of beverages that couldn’t be turned down... We ended up with the sweet tea and the watermelon lemonade. Fantastic drinks! The kind staff also asked if we wanted refills. Why sugar is a carb…. Overall, the food, drinks and sauces were all so yummy. Portions were prefect and price was very reasonable. I especially like that they offered sample dinners with 2 to 4 different kinds of meat. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Great dining experience!
Friendly, helpful staff, excellent food! I'm from Texas and have sampled BBQ all over the U.S. I really didn't expect to find good BBQ in WA, but this was great. Easy walk from the Best Western, if you are staying there.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes
Decided to stop at this spot when I was driving through the area. Should preface the review that I used to live in Texas and have been to the majority of Texas Monthly,s top 50. I also typically don't send things back. Meat Ribs and brisket were both on the dry side and lacked smoked flavor. Dryness could be due to coming near the end of the day ~5pm. Would definitely try to up the smoke level if at all possible even though using natural gas smokers from the looks of it and probably remove the membrane from the back of the ribs I know this can be debated. Also work on the dryness of both meats might just mean working on how you keep them in the warmer 5/10. Sides Normally I'm not much of a side person but cornbread, potato salad, and beans were all homemade and had excellent flavor. 9.5/10 Sauce Good flavor but please remove the liquid smoke I want to have the smoky flavor in the meat not sauce from the mild and hot. Doesn't need it and flavor wise would be so much better without it. 5/10 but goes to a 9 if you remove the unnecessary liquid smoke. Experience people, etc Incredibly nice and friendly people. Couldn't ask for a better experience in this respect. Restaurant was nice and super clean. 10/10 Overall, meats weren't great to be honest but based on everything else I would likely go back in the future earlier in the day. Fact that everything is homemade is a huge plus as not all the spots non-chain in the PNW can say that.
My first BBQ in washington coming from Texas...the land of the world's greatest BBQ. This gets 5 stars on Washington's standards but it would be a 4 in Texas. They don't serve Mac n cheese... so that's new.. a bbq place with no mac and cheese. BUT the sides we did have were good. My wife loved the potato salad and even ordered more to go. Corn bread was also super yummy. Meat was all cooked to perfection.. will be back again! Edit: came back yesterday 15 may because my wife wanted potato salad. The food was amazing. We love this place. We snacked on the half order brisket dinner. So so good.
All of their food is amazing! Brisket melts in your mouth, pulled pork is like butter and the chicken is so moist your mouth will need a life jacket. Don’t even get me started on the sides: they’ll stick to your rips - but nothing beats the BBQ Sunday. This thing has a base of mashed potatoes, some coleslaw, baked beans, and brisket. You know how the last couple bites of good bbq are a hodge lodge of all the leftover bits of the plate, and it’s amazing? Yeah, that’s the BBQ Sunday. Okay I’m going to go back to eating now.
Best barbeque I've had since leaving the east coast. Everything was exceptional. The pulled pork and corn chowder were my favorites. The sweet tea was very good. The staff was friendly and the dining room clean. I want to come back and try everything.
This place not only makes great BBQ but they are super friendly too! We had the Pork BBQ Ribs with side of their beans and macaroni salad. The Beans is really good and I am Not a bean lover but these were yummy! Support your local restaurant they deserve it!
Just stopped by around 5pm. Was very happy to eat out here. But apparently got stomach flu in this area. Food was good and workers was good as well. Nice service and great atmosphere.Food: 5/5
