We placed a large order with Moonshine for a special gathering, and the food and service were outstanding! Frederick Beaver was prompt and professional, answering all our questions with care.nnOur order included the Champion 4 with Coleslaw x3, Fries x3, and Beans x2, along with Deep-Fried Pickles, Classic Poutine, Cornbread, and Cheese Bites. Every dish was packed with incredible flavor and thoroughly enjoyed by all.nnWe also appreciated that most of the menu, including their gravy and meats, is gluten-free—such a thoughtful touch.nnThank you, Moonshine, for making our event a delicious success!
Great food very good service! Our long hair waiter was excellent!nThe chicken wings were perfectly moist and juicy! The pork ribs were very also excellent! The pudding chomeur was delicious!nWould do that again! All topped off with light a Beaus Lug-thread light which was served very cold!
MEGA BIG shoutout to the Moonshine pit master!!! Been there twice in 2 weeks...and we think that it rivals Texan, Florida and Carolinas' BBQ, except it is way closer to home. So good.nnThe brisket, the BRISKET!!! Burnt ends or regular. Both are so amazing. Thick slices and bite after bite, it just desintegrates in your mouth. Don't forget to baptise each bite in their sauce. Perfect!! Bark is there, smoke is there, beefy taste and so moist...aaaaah. watery mouthful with each bite. So sad that most people don't understand how hard it is to make good brisket but we know. Respect, Moonshine.nnVery close 2nd fav are the pork ribs. Fall off the bone, finger licking, tangy, sweet, smokey goodness. Someone needs to GMO pork to add at least 20 ribs on each side of that beast and give them all to Moonshine pitmaster to cook.nnPulled pork is great! Good chunks of meat, Great sauce but you can still taste the smoked pork shoulder, I would imagine. Def eating it by the mouth full. No shame.nnChicken is very good too and not dry but it is def outshined by everything else. We still eat that sucker to the bone. Nothing left!nnCorn bread. C'mon! So good. They look so inoffensive because they so small but pack awesome taste and just perfect dry/moist. I would pop as many as they give me.nnColeslaw rarely gets mentioned, but it is so so good. The perfect crunchy and cool refreshing bite between watery mouthful of meat.nnThanks for loving good smoke and good meat the way we do. The food is amazing!!! Keep it coming, my friends! We'll keep going whenever we can.nnSorry. We have 0 pics of the actual food because we were so excited that we forgot to take pics each time. We dug in as soon as the food came...
Food was mid. The ribs were the best tasting items on the menu followed by the brisket. The side dishes were very bland and I wouldn’t recommend wasting money on them. The Mac and cheese was absolutely disgusting and lacking all sorts of seasoning and flavors. I expected creamy, salty goodness and instead I got something that tasted less flavorful than Kraft microwave mac and cheese. The tables are extremely sticky and we tried to clean them with the napkins and water but they remained very sticky and very unpleasant to touch. The bathrooms were also very dingy with no toilet paper had to search for a roll under the baby changing station. Wait staff was nice.
Visited the resto on a quiet Tuesday. Server was slow to greet us but we sat where we wanted. Slow to get drinks, but they were cold on this hot day. Ordered 1/4 chicken, fries and cole slaw, chicken was a little dry but we had gravy for the fries and sweet BBQ sauce on the side I asked for it just in case. I wanted to order some burnt brisket tips but they were out , not surprised since they are closed on Monday. Overall experience was good, i will go back when in town. Thank You.
