My mother has mobility issues and because of these has not been able to go out much recently. The owner assisted my Mom up the stairs to her seat; ensuring her safety. Suzette was also more than willing to accommodate us in any way that she could. We had a lovely tea that one could tell was lovingly made and served. It felt like home at Montrose Inn ! Will definitely return. Highly recommended!
We had afternoon tea today at the gorgeous Montrose Inn and we were welcomed extremely warmly!! The tea itself was fabulous..compliments to the chef as this exceeded our expectations. The Inn keeper and hostest were absolutely wonderful and gave us a personal tour with bits of history. All was decorated for Christmas beautiful. Will definitely be returning to see all of the seasons.

The high tea sitting was amazing. We started with warm mulled apple and pear cider. Deep fried zucchini and corn. Sandwiches. Dessert #1 was warm scones, jam and Devonshire cream. Dessert #2 was pumpkin muffin with icing and treats on top. All the food was delicious and service was great ! See you in December!Service: 5/5
We went for afternoon tea and they exceeded our expectations. The service was warm and hospitable, the gardens were beautiful and the tea was delicious. The veranda is beautifully shaded and stayed cool we went during a 32 degree day. The hosts kindly offered for us to look around the house and the gardens after our tea. We will definitely be back. Thank you for an amazing experience!
We enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea recently on the verandah at the Montrose Inn, overlooking the Bay of Quinte. The table was elegantly set and no detail was overlooked. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and ensured we had a wonderful experience, from the peach lemonade to the finger sandwiches to the scones and dessert. We strolled the quaint gardens behind the inn afterwards and felt like we had been transported to another world. Highly recommend the afternoon tea here, great value for money, excellent service and waterfront views! Thank you!
Plan to go for Tea at least once a month!! The menu changes and it's always awesome! The front porch is such a beautiful place for tea too in the lovely weather. I've been for tea with a group of us and just with one friend, no matter how many of us are there, we always, always love the food, the space and the hosts are amazing! Absolutely worth it!!! Oh, and with notice, they've always accommodated my allergies and friends' food restrictions, still allowing for the elegant presentation and scrumptious taste! And I've seen them accommodate a wheelchair-bound guest for tea outside in the good summer weather. The hosts are always going the extra mile to make each guests' experience is wonderful and indeed special.
Suzette and Roger are terrific hosts. The bedroom was very tasteful and comfortable. The morning breakfasts were quite good. Highly recommend!Rooms: 5/5
We celebrated a special birthday for our Mom here with high tea. It was fabulous! The owner is very ki d and accommodating. I will definitely return. The building was beautiful with a lovely view of the water.
an absolutely beautiful location. The rooms are very comfortable and the host take great pride in offering a full, friendly experience. Breakfast each day was delicious. There are no keys to the room, but it's location and respectful owners mean that your privacy and safety are still respectedRooms: 5/5
