A little hidden gem for Korean food. In addition to Korean groceries, this convenience store also has a small cafeteria serving a wide variety of Korean dishes. We ordered the Jajangmyeon and the LA Galbi set meal. The total came to around $30 for two dishes, which felt reasonable for the quality. Groceries are on the pricier side but understandable given that they have to import most of the products.
I stopped by this Korean store along rue sherbrooke mtl and was pleasantly surprised by the variety they offer. The shelves are packed with a great selection of Korean products, and they even have an in-store cafeteria like serving fresh meals and drinks.nI tried the pork katsu, a piece of fried chicken the leg was only about $3 + tax, and a matcha latte. Everything tasted great. The chicken was incredibly crispy on the outside and juicy inside—honestly the highlight of my meal. The pork katsu was also delicious, especially paired with the rice. They served kimchi and a soft tofu soup on the side, which made the meal feel even more comforting and authentic.nIt was also my first time trying a matcha latte, and I ended up really liking it.nMy total came to around $28 CAD for everything. It’s a bit pricey for a solo lunch, but if you’re craving Korean food and want something tasty and satisfying, this spot is definitely worth checking out.
Been going there since they were at their old location, so we decided to stop by again because Dawa across the street was closed that weekend. We ordered boneless fried chicken and fried gizzard. Unfortunately, the food was a huge disappointment. We couldn’t even finish one piece of the chicken! It was dry, old, and honestly shouldn’t have been served. The gizzard was tough, though at least crunchy enough to munch on. After this experience, we won’t be returning to their restaurant again.
Came back to try their fried chicken and jjang jjajang noodles 47.99$ combo. Fried chicken was brined, juicy and crispy. For the price/quality it’s unbeatable!n—————nnAte at the cafeteria and it was solid. You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer. There’s seats on their second floor and on the first floor. For the price/quality, I think it was quite worth it! The tangsuyuk was delicious and the batter was light, crunchy and chewy. The portion was also huge! Would recommend this dish. As for the jajjangmeyon and cold noodles, these dishes were ok. Would come back for a quick bite for sure when craving Korean!!
I had the pleasure of trying several dishes at the Marché Korea cafeteria, and everything was excellent!nThe Sweet & Sour Fried Turbot was crispy on the outside and tender inside, with a perfectly balanced sweet and tangy sauce.nThe Chilled Pork Feet Salad had a refreshing mustard kick, paired with chewy pork slices—super flavorful!nThe Sweet & Sour Fried Pork was a classic, with crispy coating and a sweet-savory sauce done just right.nThe Korean-Style Whole Fried Chicken brought back memories—crispy, juicy, and comforting.nAnd the Spicy Squid Salad was spicy, tangy, and full of crunchy veggies—great either as a side or appetizer.nnEverything felt home-cooked with care, and the variety on the menu makes me want to come back and try more!
