Amazing trail system, visited 3 times in three months 1st being in April 2024, amazing that I was able to ride so early and that the trails were so well prepared. Great job to the Montebello MTB team!
What a great first experience. The guy at the rental place made a perfect suggestion for an enjoyable ride and it was super fun. The climb is pretty easy, so to speak The trails were excellent! Really nicely done. There is something there for everyone. I'll definitely be back!
Excellent trail network, not far from Ottawa. New trail sector built by TerraSculpt is really fun with a gentle climbing trail making it possible to easily ride multiple laps. Be sure to hit Mastodonte, Carcajou, Yessir Miller and Diable multiple times
Nice network. New trails are fun and flowy with some technical features that level up the overall experience. Climb is smooth and let us loop several times. The signature trail Mastodonte has very good flow and fun. Love the other side too. Especielly roch fest which is an old school rocky trail. Nice aera too. I recommend paying a visit or more
***UPDATE***nnSince my post, I received a call from the GM. We had a candid conversation and he was apologetic for the situation and how it was handled. He offered to pay us back for the difference and also for the bikes we had to then rent from the Chateau. This was kind of him. He also offered to have us back where he would provide the family with free rentals and a private tour with him. I thought that this rectifying was good and appreciated that he took the time to call me. It really is not about the money but more so the fact that he took the time to explain the situation and owned up to the mistake. This is favourable!nn*****************************************************************nI do not recommend using this company. They are completely disorganized and not honest. We purchased our tickets online the day of attendance and when we arrived they were closed. They did not answer our calls, texts, voice mails, Instagram messages or emails. We were left wondering what was happening. We went to the Chateau who told us that they are a separate entity from the Montebello Velo and that they were likely not open as there was no one at their office. We ended up having to pay again to rent bikes from the Chateau as we drove in from another Province. Two days later we received an email advising that we were required to purchase tickets 24 hours in advance. There is nowhere on their website that speaks to this and when asked why the pay system allowed us to purchase the tickets within the 24 hour window, they did not have a response. They offered to give us tickets for another day however given the travel distance for us, we asked for a refund as we would not be going back. They refused to provide a refund, stating that they are volunteers. After contacting my credit card company and writing back to them, advising that we would be filing a dispute, they then responded saying that they would provide us only a refund for the bikes but not for the trails or the $12 service fee for using their online platform. They said that we used the trails, therefore we will not get reimbursed. After writing back and advising that we used the Chateau trails and not theirs, we never heard back. I had to file a dispute with the credit card company to receive the balance of the money that was withheld by them. I found them to be unprofessional, non responsive and dishonest. I spent hours between trying to reach them and by being on hold with the credit card company. I DO NOT recommend using them.
