Haven't been to Montana's in at least a year or two. Was pleasantly surprised with the food and service! Ordered steak, fries and coleslaw while my mom had the ribs and mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked as ordered and seasoned nicely. My mom was happy with her food too a part from the dry cornbread - she went to break it in half and it fell into a pile of crumbs haha.nnTamara was our server. She was pleasant, checked in a few times throughout service, and kept our drinks topped up.
Our server was great. It was very busy tonight so the wait as expected was a bit longer for food to come out but, our appetizer came out piping hot. Our main dishes on the other hand. Luke warm at best. Server did her best to fix the issue which was great.
We enjoyed a nice lunch here today. We each had a 10 oz steak, which was cooked to perfection. However the fries and onion rings arrived at room temperature. We mentioned it, and the manager promptly brought fresh fries and onion rings within a few minutes. Because of the inconvenience and the fact it was our anniversary, we were also served a free chocolate cake dessert. Very classy move by the manager and staff. Very much appreciated the quick fix with meal, and the dessert was wonderful.
Food was good, consistent with all Montanas locations. Atmosphere again the same. The restaurant was clean, the furniture is warn with the vinyl worn almost completely off the seat I was sitting in.nnNow, the service. The service was attentive - but very unfriendly. The wait staff would ask a question and be halfway across the restaurant before you had time to answer. My wife wasn't finished her meal - close but not fully finished and the waitress walked by and grabbed her plate right from underneath her. So if you don't mind unfriendly but efficient service, you won't mind this place.
Our food was actually quite good and our waitress really did her best. The 3/5 for service is because she was literally the only one running around. She did great, but management shouldn’t leave one server alone. Also, the card machine was very hard to use. Parts of the touch screen were not working and required a lot of effort to get to work.
