Mongolie Grill

I really love eating here when I want to eat healthy food. The choices are exactly the types of things that I would cook at home if I had time to shop for fresh vegetables, meat, chicken and seafood, then chop them all up to make a stir-fry. I will never get tired of the endless combination of fresh ingredients and I love that I can combine different sauces to get just the taste I am craving. Once I have loaded up a bowl with ingredients, I take it to the grill and the chef quickly cooks it up on the giant grill. Each meal includes soup and rice and the great thing is that you can go back for seconds, if you have room. You don't have to order another whole meal, like other restaurants - you just go back and choose whatever else you would like. For me, the only thing lacking is ambiance. I wouldn't go there for a first date.The lights are nicely set for romance in the booths, but there is something decidedly un-sexy about about the salad bar/all you can eat set up in the middle of the restaurant. Great for long-time lovers or a great group of friends. The food tastes really, really, good - after all you chose it yourself and created your own sauce. If I had to eat in the same restaurant for the rest of my life, this would be it.

Decent fresh food, very good service today, and the place is open and clean. Cool kind of system, you choose the raw ingredients from a sort of buffet and the cook stir frys it up for you, so it's always fresh and exactly what you meant to order. Fantastic for people with dietary restrictions. Also if you can guess the exact price of your meal (by weight) they give you a $15 gift certificate towards your next meal, my sister's boyfriend did it today so I can attest that it's possible! Always a pretty good experience here.

Our food was burnt on the outside and still raw inside. I'm not even sure how this is possible. We used to frequent the Broadway & Cambie location and their wraps were always warm but the ones we were given here were as cold as a rock. Considering the restaurant was less than 1/4 full, service was also pretty scarce... I had to ask for water twice after our food had arrived...

Been going to Mongolie Grill’s for years - also been to this specific location many times. The food is always great, but the service (especially tonight) was sub-par and very slow. It also took our table around an hour to get our food (once we had weighed it and given it to the cooks). The restaurant was decently busy for a Wednesday, yes, but it took forever. At least the food was worth the wait! 😂

Decent food and fun for everyone. Can get expensive quickly though so don't load up on meats too much. The mushrooms are good
