Delicious food, great portions and well priced with a great selection. Staff is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is relaxing, whether to get a casual bite to eat or celebrate a more formal dinner the pub side or restaurant side offers both. They as well offer take-out for those preferring to eat at home.
Garlic. Cheesy. Bread. Let me tell you. I'd come back just for a plate of 6 of those and a few drinks. I went here for a mother's day dinner and absolutely loved it. I ordered the garlic cheesy bread to start and upon first glance I was all in. You really get the best of both in abundance. For my main meal, I got fish and chips with a tall glass of Sapporo. Can't really say I'd recommend the fish and chips to anyone, but from what I heard their star meat dishes were great. Staff was courteous and respectful. Had a wonderful time in a cozy log cabin with great food and conversation. If you're in the area and get a craving for cheesy garlic bread, I couldn't stress it enough. Just try them out! Your tummy will thank you!
Incredible service, menu, deserts and wine selection. Only request is having a local craft beer available to order. There are so many great breweries in QC to offer. I had the lamb cooked rare. Highly recommended .
This is a cozy restaurant with a rustic environment that adds up to the experience. All staff is extremely polity. I've had breakfast and dinner here. Breakfast was good, but they are not serving it anymore maybe it will be back post-covid. Dinner was really good. I had the garlic cheese bread, soup of the day meat and vegetables and the Coquille Mon Village au Gratin, everything was delicious!
Our favourite restaurant going into or out of Montreal. One of us favours the Fish and Chips, the other the Roast Beef Dip. Perfectly drawn beers top off any meal on the menu.
Always a great spot to stop for lunch on a trip. I love the French Onion soup and Caesar salad. Husband has the Burger: excellent. Elise is an fantastic waitress. We recommend .
Indeed quaint, warm , inviting atmosphere...great ambiance. Requested reservation for 6pm...unavailable...chose 5.45...was told that the table had to be vacated by 7 45 for second seating...I accepted questioningly . Second seating on a Sunday night?...Sure enough at 7.45 there were plenty of vacant tables... Food selection is amazing. Excellent beer and wine selection. Beer offering from a local brewery was excellent. I finally decided on B.B.Q. chicken and ribs...which took a very long time to be served not hot...barely warm. I could barely cut the chicken with the serated knife and the potato was dry. It was very tasty...as were the ribs... It's unfortunate...the meal had great potential but failed miserably... The waiter came to ask how everything was and I explained only that that ribs and vegetables were cold...the absolutely unacceptable response was...and I quote, "you find?" That was it, I was done!!! What a shame. My friends and colleagues rave about this restaurant and I wanted to enjoy it as much as they do...unfortunately under the circumstances, I could not.
This is my second time of this restaurant. The first time it was very good. I have no complaints. Although my second visit was not the same. The service was great as usual but my 20$ steak sandwich was disappointing. Basically, they put a piece of steak between two buns and that’s it. It tasted very bland. They could have added a few garnishes like onion and cheese to give it a little more taste.. when I asked for some cheese, they were accommodating, but yet they actually charged me two dollars for the cheese, which I found a bit petty. They’re already charging $20 for a small piece of steak, you would think they would throw in the cheese for no charge. So if you order a steak sandwich, just make sure to ask them what’s in it and not assume like I did.. Other than that, everything else was fine.
Excellent food, the service was great and the ambiance is super warm and inviting..I highly recommend it!
Nice atmosphere with a wood burning fireplace in the bar area with comfortable seating. Our group all enjoyed our meals including delicious prime rib and fish and chips. Friendly bilingual service. Only criticism the parking lot can be a bit muddy if you don't get dropped off at the door
