I recently got take out from Momo Factory on Davie Street, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The food was amazing; there's no other way to put it. What's particularly impressive is that you don't have to order rice and naan separately; they come with your dish, which is a real bonus. The flavors were exceptional, combining the best of Indian and Chinese cuisines. Some call it Indian Chinese, Chinese Indian, Sino-Indian, Chindian, Hakka Chinese, or Desi-Chinese cuisine, but whatever you want to call it, it's a unique fusion of Chinese dishes with Indian spices and flavors. The result is a mouthwatering blend that leaves your taste buds wanting more. Apart from the fantastic food, the pricing was quite reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of the dishes. The portions were generous, ensuring you leave with a satisfied belly. But what truly stood out was the service. The staff was friendly and attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. And the convenience of having two locations, one in Surrey Delta and the other in downtown Vancouver, makes it easy to enjoy these enchanting flavors no matter where you are in the area. Whether you're a fan of Indian or Chinese cuisine, Momo Factory is the place to be. I highly recommend trying it out; you won't be disappointed. I also want to mention that the location at Momo Factory on Davie Street is clean and well-maintained. The decor adds to the overall experience, creating a pleasant and ambient atmosphere. It's a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family, with the cozy and inviting setting adding to the charm of the restaurant. So, not only do you get fantastic food and great service, but you also get to dine in a lovely and comfortable environment.
I love it the Jhul sauce is my favorite so far! It definitely a big portion of food! I grab 2 of my friends all of them loved itFood: 5/5
1st time eating at the Momo Factory ~ their momos & dumplings are freshly made in house. Comfortable and spacious restaurant on Davie ~ accessible and convenient ~ that's why we picked it after a late night event. Staff are friendly and attentive, and they even have a robot server ~ Bella delivers food to your table! Reasonable prices with a good selection of dishes combine a mix of Chinese and Indian cuisine. We also like their homemade Chai ~ Nepalese style. Highly recommended if you are in the area and hungry for real Asian food.
Great place for lunch. Momos tasted good, but not the best of the best. The sauce for the side was also good and flavorful. If you can handle spice, go for more spicy as it will probably be better. Lovely ambiance though and would still come again to try new things here.Food: 4/5
We really enjoyed the food! The place is a fusion of Indian and Chinese food, and the result is delicious. The place was not crowded when we ate there, Sunday evening. They have packages that allow to taste different dishes, and have vegetarian friendly menu. I was curious about the robot serving some tables, but we got a friendly human to take our orders. The mumus are yummy, but I prefer the soups and the curry, although, the sweet chocolate mumu was a great choice. Te portions are good too! We got leftovers to go.
The atmosphere was great for dinner with friends. They had great music playing and matched the vibe of the rest of Davie street. The service was also good very friendly. We had the Classic Fried Rice with Shrimp and it was really good. A little dry so I added sauce from the Kangaroo Pao Chicken which was also pretty good. Would recommend and wouldn’t mind going again.
I cannot comment on the Service or Atmosphere, as I ordered takeout. I was incredibly disappointed with the meal I received, IF you can even call it a meal, as it was barely an appetizer size but priced as a full sized entree. I ordered the Vegetable Manchow Soup, and although the description in the menu did say "topped with noodles" I did not expect such a small portion of noodles a mini 4oz cup, similar size you would use for a side of sauce! and the rest of the soup was just plain broth with a few onions floating it. Please see attached photo for how absolutely disappointing this 'meal' looked.... The "noodles" appeared to be instant noodles that were crushed and put in a small cup! I was horrified that this item was considered an entree and not instead in the appetizer menu where it belongs! It should be priced at half the price I was charged $13.99 plus tax and tip, since I had to make myself more food once I finished this snack! The only good thing I have to say is that the broth was quite flavorful; however, there was barely any vegetables in it, and the sprinkle of instant noodles did not make this a meal that was filling enough to be considered an entree. I will not be going back!
When we saw the name, we assumed it was an Asian eatery. Confirmed it when we saw pictures of dumpling. However, we soon found out that it's Chinese-Indian fusion. The GOOD: soft launch of this business so decor is modern and clean. Enjoyed the chicken curry w rice and naan latter is extra. The robot delivery was cool. The MEH: my daughter LOVES dumplings but she wasn't thrilled w the Indian twist to her favourite food so she didn't eat much of them. I enjoyed them. The Shanghai noodles, and other Asian food were ok. The BAD: nothing really. It's fusion so my daughter didn't care for it but my wife and I enjoyed it.
The food was spectacular at this location! Lovely ambiance and had a great experience with the service. I tried the chicken momos steamed and tandoori chicken momos fried, I can’t decide which one tasted better because both tasted extremely good, with the side of sauces. Make sure to order not too spicy to observe the flavours and the tastiness.
This place serves the worst food I ever had in Vancouver. Dim sums are cooked with microwave and dried. You need to rely on soy sauce to cover the awful taste. Edit: steaming does not dry out the dumplings. Frozen dumplings through microwave can. Awful taste comes from taste of low quality pork. My wife ended up feeling sick overnight.
