Got their takeout as I had a Korean fried chicken craving and honestly I was pleasantly surprised. Dumplings were fantastic and sauces for all meals were great. The fried rice was just ok but the Korean fried chicken was legit but spicy wasn’t spicy more of a flavour than anything. Definitely good especially if your looking for a change!
Overall we really like this restaurant but I do fine all the beef sides is on a salty side, from the pass experience. So far they are able to make spicy dishes that my 10 years old non-spicy. Price seem to be pretty fair. The mild is still pretty spicy for my 13 years old even though he could eat spicy food. The staffs is very friendly.
Food is delicious. And place is clean. Wasn't sure what to expect as it's in a plaza and a more fast food setting. But was worth the stop. I ordered to go but ended up eating in. Ordered the seafood pancake and the LA rib bento box. Delicious, and the side banchan had great flavour. Also appreciated the small but great gesture of slicing the end of the take out container for the pancake to minimize the sogginess. *pictures taken after I already had a few bites*
A really lovely place to get some good Korean dishes. Food is delicious even if it's not the best we've ever had, slightly on the salty side for our taste. The service was decent but lacked some warmth, possibly because we came in an hour before they were closing and the staff was more focused on cleaning up. Pricing was acceptable for the area. We would definitely come back if we are craving Korean food.
I always praise mom's kitchen. We always get to enjoy a good meal and even take some home for a decent price. I suggest making your reservation ahead of time as they do get packed and busy fast. Although it's a small store the atmosphere is very cozy and the service is always friendly. The staff will always interact with you if you need help with anything. They offer the side dishes to take home as well, which is amazing since I really love their kimchi. If you get the chance, their fried chicken is worth giving a try for. Parking: There is free parking available as it is in a huge plaza. However, since all the popular stores are lined up with the restaurant it's hard to catch a closer parking.
It was our first time trying Mom's Kitchen, and the food was great! The portion sizes were huge and were great for the price. We all enjoyed our food a lot. We weren't starving when we came in, so we definitely had a lot of leftovers. Unfortunately, we only remembered to take pictures of 2/4 dishes we got, but plating was nice as well. The place was busy and had a full house when we went with one table left so we got seated right away. There are QR codes on the tables for ordering so we didn't have to wait for a server unless we wanted to she said we can order thru the code or wait for her- we opted in to ordering online with our table number. She came by our table once to see if we ordered and another time to see if we wanted the bill or anything which we didn't mind because we didn't need anything like water refills. The only downside is that we got seated next to the door, and it was literally freezing lol so it kind of hindered the experience, but 100% would come back again though!
Good Korean food for Ajax. Their bulgogi is not very sweet if you’re used to Owl of Minerva then this is not the same. We came for lunch and service was a little slow. Can’t go wrong with the pork bone soup or Kalbi beef ribs. Pricing for the lunch specials are also pretty decent. Had the Sullantang for the first time and it was great! The rice cake appetizer was nice and crispy but not what I expected. I had asked if it was one giant rice cake but it was actually pieces of small rice cakes on skewers.
One of our favorite places to eat with family. The food is ALWAYS delicious. Our go to meals are Pork bone soup, army soup, bibimpap, tofu soup, sizzling chicken and the delicious boneless honey garlic fried chicken :
Only been twice…but mannnn! Korean Food cooked beautifully! The flavours are legit and portions are huge! Perfect for a KBBQ eater! I love the bibimbap and the sizzling hot plate! Both were amazing! My friend got the bento and sooo good! Side dishes were amazing and the waitress was very kind in replacing eaten side dishes. 10/10 would go again!
Based on a take out experience only I've never eaten inside it's a been a hit or miss. I really do like this place and has choices the other nearby Korean restaurant does not have and for fair prices. However most of the time we've ordered they always forget something, be it sides, rice, etc. I understand once if it's busy, but it's already happened a couple times to me and my bf even on weekday nights most recently, a few days ago and it's not worth the drive back. Do double check your order before driving off which sadly, shouldn't have to be the standard from a specific restaurant. Pic is from one of our better orders though.
