Great ice cream... HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! I Went to Molly's today with my 3 children, a friend and her daughter after a great day at the beach. An older woman maybe late 60's was working and she was grumpy from the moment we walked in, but we didn't let that us bother us.... When I ordered whip cream on top of my ice cream in a cup she was very put off by my request. I let her know I realize that it wasn't free and expect to pay extra. Well, when I was charged $1.09 for a tbsp of whip I said something. I wasn't rude, but definitely let my dissapointed be known. I then asked for napkins she gave me 3. We were 2 adults, three 4 year olds, and a 2 year old. I asked for a few more. She gave me 2. When I said if we need more, I guess we will come back in and ask for more, she said no, that I have been given more than my allotted amount and was not allowed to have anymore. Of course at this point of our horrible customer service I start to get frustrated and asked if she would like me to clean up after my children or just let their ice cream drip everywhere. She then told me my job as a mother is to carry wet wipes because that is what mothers do. I cannot believe that someone like that works at such a family friendly place and my family will not be going back.
Molly's was empty except for the three kids working there who greeted me with silent stares. There were no friendly greetings when I entered, or at any time for that matter. The ice cream was average quality. Just your typical place for a sugar + fat fix - except no hospitality.
The owner of this establishment is a hideous human being. They have notices up about bathroom use, sometimes charge for extra napkins I mean come on kids with ice cream need many napkins it is the cost of doing business, and her general demeanor is not client focused . In addition I visited this location last week and was waiting for a friend to go inside. While I waited I exited my car and had a smoke. Not long after a woman who clearly hates her life walked out the door and knocked on my car window. I rolled it down and she just pointed. I was very confused at first but she was pointing at the ground and said "pick that up" she was referring to my cig butt. I said I was sorry and picked up the butt. She did not acknowledge my apology and then proceeded to tell me it was a non smoking parking lot even though from my view there was not a sign to be seen. Listen lady, a little please and thank you and some common manners will take you far in this world. I will not be back but am highly considering opening up shop across the street so I can show this woman the true meaning of customer service and manners.
Poor service and high prices. The cafe appears to be closed now. Outside seats at the front of the building were dirty and sticky. Greeted with a terse note on the door about the washrooms. Several customers were deciding on flavours and when the lady behind the counter asked who was ready and nobody else said anything I approached and was promptly told that some others were there first. Disappointing visit.
Good ice cream selections, excellent price for portion that you get. Staff is always friendly. Always seem to run into someone you know :
It's clean, I'll give it that. The ice cream is nothing special, though, and the prices are too high for what you get. The staff don't seem to know all that much about the food, and they're sure not friendly.
Was a good place back in the day... But the place expanded and has less charm. Ice cream is good but getting expensive. Can go other places and get it a little cheaper. Still popular but not as much as earlier years.
Simple place but worth the stop. Generous serving of ice cream and an assortment of homemade goodies. Didn't have time to taste anything on the menu.
Horrible and very rude service!!!! So whether I like the ice cream or not is irrelevant!!! The older lady that works there should find a new profession because customer service is definitely not her forte!!!
Great selection of ice cream in summer. You can walk down to the little pond and watch the geese and ducks while you eat your cone.
